I’m only watching haphazardly because I‘m all about the dresses, but this show is just nuts. And not fun nuts.

Not a fan of almost any of the winners. The most mediocre movie winning Best Picture. I rather a movie I hated but was cinematically vivid or forward or challenging.

Unfortunately, I think GaGa has experience with people who are cognitively impaired. She worked with Tony Bennett and had a relationship with him before and after his Alzheimer's diagnosis.

And one hopes that next year's ceremony will contain a proper tribute to the 50th anniversary of "Cabaret" and its Oscar wins, including Liza's.

I don’t care for her music, but Lady Gaga just seems like an absolutely genuine and kind person. Which is what I am a fan of. I can see her becoming her generation’s Dolly Parton, a philanthropic and stellar all-around human being.

I love Jessica Chastain and really hoped she would win but I could have done without the lecture. Will Smith was beyond and then some. Billie E. was cute and seemed so excited and Lady Gaga actually demonstrated love towards another human being.

They really should just ditch the hosts and revel in celebrating movies are instead of acting like celebrating movies is something to be ashamed of.

All this time I wanted Chastain to win an Oscar and she does and I’m not happy because I really wanted Cruz to win. Sigh. Life is funny.

Also, gay cowboy movies never win Best Picture. They always lose to movies with one word titles that begin with the letter C. I’m upset about it and Drive My Car was my first choice!

Also, I really wanted Encanto to win Best Song because that song was beautiful in and out of the film, but it was my fourth choice for Animated Feature. This was not my Oscars at all haha.

I did want Encanto to win Best Song but if Lin-Manuel Miranda is going to EGOT I would like him to be there for it and he had to pull out of the show because his wife tested positive for COVID.

I was split between Encanto and The Mitchells vs the Machines personally but I was leaning in a Mitchells vs the Machines direction.

I haven't seen Flee yet. If I hadn't liked Encanto so much I probably would have been split with Luca and Mitchells vs the Machines. Admittedly I'm friends with people who greatly loved Encanto, Luca and MvtM which probably helped amplify my enjoyment of them.
