These Hungarians are from Russia? Isn’t Hungarian a really hard language to learn? IIRC, isn’t it nothing like other European languages that could help you learn it?

Apparently Hungarian is somewhat difficult to learn but my polyglot father tells me it's one of his favourite languages to swear in.

Hungary is always giving citizenship to Russian athletes. I doubt they have to speak the language.

It's not a requirement for citizenship. For anyone.

Not every country requires you to speak the language to be a citizen.

Sviatchenko was a solid mid-level pairs dude when he was in juniors.

Akopova/Rakhmanin had some international assignments before they switched.

They are both Russian and train in Russia. I doubt they speak much Hungarian at all.

Ghilardi/Ambrosini - Love that the twist lift right on the music. So many skaters don't put highlight moves on the highlights of the music. They did pretty good. That was fun.
