2026 Europeans - Pairs Short Program - "The Full Moonie"

ChtWoz - 3tw - nice; SBS 3t - and down she goes; throw 3s - pitched so far forward both hands hit the ice hard to stay up; SBS spins - decent; lift - really nice air position for her; BODS - quite lovely; step seq - she always smiles & sells her way through the program, no matter how many elements went wrong to start. I'd put this behind the Icelandic team also, but early PCS may hurt GunZza.

Come to think of it, "Moderation" is an excellent choice to skate to. You know how we are always going on about how the skaters should interpret the music better. Well, they could say that "we did that death spiral/twist/jump/footwork (take your pick) in moderation." It works. :p

WOW! Behind GunZza!!!! Barely, but that's all that matters. One more team needs to skate poorly for the Icelandic team to make it into the penultimate group.

Why are V-L/D so rushed? And why, if they are stealing Sawchenko's program anyway, they couldn't put the throw 3 seconds later to have it on the musical accent?

VLDigs - 3tw - very nice; SBS 2a - good; lift - nicely done; throw 3s - huge & really great; BODS - nice; step seq - goes along well with this plodding music but it's all so bland; SBS spins - pretty decent unison. I'd give them the lead over VouBou.

I'm not @TAHbKA to seriously consider posture of skaters, much as Eurovision singers hitting the notes, as the reason for how this thing is judged; but Luke really is not doing himself or his posture any favors with the elbow sleeves.

Yes and the result is killing me.
I hate it when CC does not have the correct spelling of the participant's names programed in -- Tour de France & other cycling events are examples. It's been done for skating, but just random entries when lyrics are picked up is really crazy.

HocKun - 3tw - nice; SBS 3s - stayed up; throw 3f - big air; lift - done; BODS - decent; SBS spins - not even trying to be in unison until the last position; step seq - fine. Well, that will snag the lead, though I'm always underwhelmed by them.

Annika Hocke/Robert Kunkel 🇩🇪
Coach: Ondrej Hotarek, Luca Dematte, Nolan Seegert
Music: Hold My Hand by Lady Gaga

Triple Twist 3
3S< - Annika under-rotated
Throw 3F
Reverse Lasso Lift 4
Back Inside Death Spiral 3
Change Foot Combo Spin 4

Step Sequence 3

Strong performance, but still the issue with the side-by-side jumps that has plagued them for a number of seasons.

65.47 = 1st Place

Aww ... I loved that program. Does Annika ever skate in anything but a unitard? She looks fabulous in them and this is another beauiful one. The joy on her face throughout parts of that made me smile. She really sold it and I was buying.
