2026 Europeans - Pairs Short Program - "The Full Moonie"

HolDar - 3tw - okay; SBS 3s - she fell & his hand may have touched the ice; throw 3lo - nasty fall; lift - he looks strained through it; BODS - lost the ice view for a second, looked okay; SBS spins - unison is for the birds; step seq - another team that is way slower than the beat of the music... Just plodding. Well, their death spiral was in the green. And she's going to need some physio pretty stat after they get out of the KnC.

Sofiia Holichenko/Artem Darenskyi 🇺🇦
Coach: Ihor Marchenko
Music: Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics, Annie Lennox

Triple Twist 3
3S< - Sofiia fell, Artem stepped out
Throw 3Lo - fall
Axel Lasso Lift 1

Back Inside Death Spiral 1
Change Foot Combo Spin 4 - loss of unison at the end
Step Sequence 1 - both struggling to stay on time

The fall on the throw was very hard, and Sofiia visibly in pain at the end of the program. I think the lift came down early, and they struggled to complete the rest of the elements after the fall on the throw.

-2.00 = Falls
42.32 = 6th Place

Now my fave OES team
V/B
very high 3twist
sbs 3toe, she falls out, pity
huuuuge 3loop throw
they are so exciting - top group material next year!
what a shame about the jump - they might even make the top group here with a few of the teams above them not skating up to their best?

VouBou - 3tw - nice, she nearly slipped during the landing; SBS 3t - step out for her; throw 3lo - very nice; lift - excellent; step seq - he's hamming it up, though not quite to Spencer Howe levels; BODS - quite nice; SBS spins - very close to start but drifted a bit apart, alright on the unison. This should go into the lead.

Oxana Vouillamoz/Tom Bouvart 🇨🇭
Coach: Claude Peri, Lola Esbrat
Music: Liberian Girl, Smooth Criminal

Triple Twist 3
3T - Oxana stepped out
Throw 3Lo
Reverse Lasso Lift 4
Step Sequence 4
Back Inside Death Spiral 3

Change Foot Combo Spin 4

Continuing a strong season, and improving their performance quality. Such an exciting team for the next quadrennial.

62.78 = 1st Place

That was a lot of fun, I don’t think of Swiss as having swagger but there’s a bit of that in a good way. Should finally move Iceland out of top spot.

Well, that's probably because he's French and she's lived, trained & used to represent France. ;)

K/K
she with heavily strapped shoulder
3twist
sbs 3toe
Pavel struggled a bit in the turns during the lift
throw 3flip, small but clean
she is a tough cookie, for sure!
all the respect for her!

Les Kovs - wow, her shoulder is seriously taped up. 3tw - it was done; SBS 3t - stood 'em up; lift - looked hard; throw 3f - tiny but done; BODS - alright; SBS spins - actually pretty decent - best of the day so far; step seq - alright. That about sums them up - everything is alright but nothing remarkable (except their SBS spins, but today is a low bar for those).

Camille looks happy with that skate. She's probaly relieved to get it over, considering all the taping on her shoulder.

ETA: Watching that death spiral in slow motion makes MY shoulder hurt. Ouch. OTOH, I don't think I've seen Camille look this happy in the K/C in a long time.
