2A

Not quite as sharp, or precise as they were hoping for in the technical execution which will mean lower levels, and GOE almost across the board.

I've got 2 cats circling my chair wanting to share my lap .... and, more importantly, the heated throw blanket. I'm like, "Not yet, boys .... Mama is going to take a quick break to loose the pjs and slippers and get dressed. "
I'm going to do the same which is shameful seeing as it's already the afternoon here :slinkaway
I'm making the most of my day off (by doing nothing).

Who are the k&c 'interviewers'? Random brits or are they locally known?
Mark Hanretty and Molly Lanaghan? Molly competed in ice dance for Canada: https://www.isuresults.com/bios/isufs00103040.htm

Well, I overslept by about 15 minutes and then woke up to my computer having rebooted overnight, so I'm a bit delayed. Here's my commentary for the first two teams -

Gunnarsdottir/Piazza - 3tw - nice; SBS 3s - she stepped out; BODS - beautiful; throw 3s - excellent; lift - really nice; step seq - nice enough; SBS spins - slow and out of synch on the last two positions; that cover of Imagine with the incessant "ahhhhing" really was obnoxious during the step sequence. I like them, they've improved quite a bit - may even get the Worlds CTES mins if they don't have them already.

Valesi/Bidar - 3tw - soooo high & light; SBS 2a - nice; throw 3s - low landing, hand down & step out; lift - yeah, their slowness is really evident here; and here in the step seq as well; BODS - not a fan of how she hunched down into position; SBS spins - what a mess on their unison.

Yes, both of these teams would have fit right in at US Nats last week.

I have closed caption on and it's trying to read both music lyrics and commentary. The combination is pretty bizarre.

I/M
2twist
nice speed
throw 3 lutz, a bit messy with the free foot
sbs 3lutz, so great
ahhh, wobble in the lift but made it

still Iceland on the top for me, this was a bit hot and cold, some great, some not so good

Izzo/Maierhofer - 2tw - nice, but junior level element; throw 3z - foot down on the landing but otherwise okay; SBS 3z - nice; BODS - okay; SBS spins - shamefully slow, out of unison & not good in general; step seq - eh; she's clearly the better skater than he; lift - oh this was wobbly.

So, if Spencer wants to continue next cycle, can Gabriella dump Luc and skate with her boyfriend for the US?

Gabriella Izzo/Luc Maierhofer 🇦🇹
Coach: Severin Kiefer, Alexei Letov, Olga Ganicheva
Music: Padam Padam, Milord by Edith Piaf

Double Twist 3
Throw 3Lz - two-footed
3Lz
Back Inside Death Spiral 1

Change Foot Combo Spin 4 - timing, synchronization issues
Step Sequence 3
Axel Lasso Lift 3 - slight stumble for Luc

The most difficult side-by-side jump we'll see from any team this year, but the pair elements were stiff, and not well executed.

54.65 = 2nd Place

Edith Piaf? Did they get confused with the 2030 Olympic season?
So MANY French songs this year. I keep wondering if there are so many people who don’t know French from Italian, or if any ole “European” thing will do.

C/M
sbs 3sal, she falls
3twist
throw 3loop, double footed and both hands down
the second part of their program was very enjoyable, nice musicality

a pity about the mistakes.
