That works if they don't compete internationally this year. If they do, they won't qualify, because they've already returned.Also, they would be eligible for GP assignments based on Trennt's Worlds finish last year, as a "Return of a Split Couple", and I could see them getting 2 assignments on the initial round, even if they don't wind up as a seeded team from Worlds.
If they don't compete internationally this year, they wouldn't have to meet the GP minimums, and they could decide whether a post-Nationals international competition makes sense for them, or if a eligibilty for two GPs makes sense to take a pass to the late summer internationals in 2023.
