Well that was pleasant but lacking the of Russian nationals rhythm dance. No Daddy Death Glares. No Khuda. Come on US dance teams. Step it up.
Maybe, but I was already thinking it looked stale in practiceMaybe not so much if worlds is cancelled.
It looks like they both got 9.55 to me...Per judges, Chock/Bates are beating them in skating skills now. SKATING SKILLS.
Just wow. I don't believe anyone in ice dance thinks C/B have better SS than Hubbell/Donahue. Except for US judges.

Two judges had Chock/Bates 0.25 higher than Hubbell/Donohue on Skating Skills. Two judges had Hubbell/Donohue 0.25 higher than Chock/Bates. Three had them tied. Even without dropping the high and low, they were perfectly tied on that component.Look at the individual judges scores.

When thinking about changes in North American ice dance to come after Beijing, both Bates and Paul Poirier have been on every senior national dance podium but one one since 2008.I forget that Evan Bates is on his way to his fourth Olympics.
If there’s no Worlds we will have seen it this season exactly one timePersonally I do not like recycled programs after two seasons (even without a Worlds). I would not want to see the snake again next season but YMMV.
I disagree. With all the uncertainty this year, I think it’s prudent for teams to keep decent programs and save their money for the O season. Heck, if they’ve saved money, they might be able to afford music rights to something awesome. Or be able to work with multiple ballroom specialists.I know this is a very unusual season, but it feels to me like knowing the same program has been kept for three seasons would still make it feel stale, even if it had hardly been seen. It's a mindset that's hard to escape.
Skaters don't pay for music rights.Heck, if they’ve saved money, they might be able to afford music rights to something awesome
Right, I forgot.Skaters don't pay for music rights.

They were actually planning to swap out the FD and keep the RD, but they had multiple training problems (Chock got injured, then they had a COVID exposure and had to quarantine a couple of weeks, etc.) and decided that wasn't viable.I was gonna say that I'm kind of surprised that Chock and Bates kept both programs, and keeping the snake long was obvious, but they could have switched out the RD. But they were injured to start the season, right?
It's Ice Dance.how can you get 10 for a not so clean program?? what would you get for a clean program ??
