2021 US Nationals Mens FS: When you fall in a forest of cardboard people, do you make a sound?

Jason should have used lyrics.

WOWEE JASON BROWN!!!

This final flight of Men reminds me of the final flight of Russian ladies last month.

Doesn't Jason know this music is cursed for skaters? 🤔

Popping an axel is not going to get him to climb that step on the podium, I fear.

Really like that program for Jason. Great music, and the choreography shows off his lines beautifully without being too showy. Felt like he was rushing some of his moves just a bit—still amazing though!

That overall score was actually really close to Paniot - much closer than I thought it would be.

Imagine if Jason had fallen a second time and then his PCS was limited to 90.50 or whatever the max is with multiple errors.

Jackie Wong' tweeted scores for the medalists:

Chen TES 114.36, PCS 94.00, FS 208.36, TOTAL 322.28
Zhou: TES 94.99, PCS 89.60, -1.00, FS 183.59, TOTAL 291.38
Brown: TES 80.90, PCS 96.10, -1.00, FS 176.00, TOTAL 276.92
Paniot: TES 98.53, PCS 84.70, FS 183.23, TOTAL 266.97

As I said in the SP thread, you just never know how the results will shape up. If other men delivered in both the SP and LP, things could have been dicey and the worlds team wouldn’t have been a foregone conclusion.

So Jason did his quad, and that's fine, but to miss the 3A makes doing the quad a waste. He's got a lot to do to be ahead of a few of these guys next year.

I’m just glad that he at least rotated the 4T.

Also, the choreographic sequence into the final combo camel spin was beyond epic.

I’d like to see what this program looks like with a full arena and skated clean.
You and I both. So many details and transitions--I want to re-watch immediately!
