Yup - FearGib, GuigFab and FBCiz are all starting their GP campaign at GPdF. Hard to see the rationale for GuigFab not doing a dry run with their programs at a Challenger like Nepela, but that's the choice they've made. They're not on the entry list for that, Nebelhorn or Denis Ten, and I can't imagine they'll be going to Trialeti as that's the week before GPdF. Maybe they're planning on going to Trophee Metropole Nice CDA, which isn't a Challenger this year, but it is the same weekend as Denis Ten and a whole lot closer to home.

Hard to say. Manni/Roethlisberger are the only team that competed at the Int'l Ice Dance Dordrecht comp last month that is also at Lombardia and none of the teams that competed at Bolero Cup or Kinoshita Group Cup last weekend are competing at Lombardia. ManRoe scored 64.80 at Dordrecht in the RD and 65.02 at Lombardia today. The tech panel wasn't very generous with their levels on the pattern step & midline step sequence in Dordrecht compared to Lombardia (they both had L4 twizzles & a L4 lift in both competitions).

So, they gained about 1 point in BV between the two competitions but they lost about the same amount on GOE.

It feels like Val/Kazimov are in a good position to earn Spain a second spot. Impossible to say what Reitan/Majorov's chances are since they haven't competed anywhere yet this season.

FBCiz have a chance at what? France's Oly spots are locked in at 2 and they can't earn a 3rd.

Lombardia's field doesn't have any World Top 10 teams and the scores for the Mrazeks seem on par with their SB in the RD from last season, while PateBye have scored incrementally higher than last season.

Not according to the scoring, even though that was close. But they might be the 9th or even 10th best team this season in any case, as it doesn't seem believable that Shibutanis are going to be worse than them even now and Neset/Markelov are very close to them too.

I would agree - even though this is early in the season, they have been loosing levels also at later and more important competitions. But where to they should go, in your opinion? To I.AM or I.AM Ontario to become one of their many teams? To Margaglio where their teammates went? To the Michigan Ice Dance Academy? Or perhaps to Hurtado and Khaliavin in Spain?

That's an interesting question. I don't know that SK have proven themselves as capable yet of taking a team to the next level where the Mrazeks need to go. I'm not enamored with MIDA's work for GreenP. I'm not sure Margaglio is the best option either. Maybe Arribert in France?

The skirt made me nervous. I'm a sucker for a flamenco theme, so I enjoyed the overall dance. This is the first FD of theirs that I've enjoyed, so I'm looking forward to see any changes they make!

They need someone to handle their levels, like Igor, and they need someone with artistic creativity, like Marina...oh wait I´ve seen this episode.

I don´t think Arribert can help them much at this point. But seriously, YGA had this huge training camp with almost every Italian ID coaches but no one can really get their levels done?

Yeah, I'm not convinced Arribert can get them to the next level either. I'm just looking at the European ice dance schools and not seeing many good options for them. IAM-Ontario may be the best option at this point.

But he is sending them out to competition with level 3 lifts, level 2 twizzles and an invalidated choreo spin. Are we joking?

I'm frustrated because I don't want them to become one of the many IAM teams that needs to wait until the IAM coaches decide that it is their turn to win. My wish is that the YGA coaches finally get their acts together and fix these levels.

The Czech siblings have a terrific program! Her skirt is a memorizing third member of the dance! This was a debut and some levels got missed. They are now the top team with Zanni and company. Let's give this coaching staff time to drill some things before we are ready to ship them off to Canada or Finland. I personally want to see Daniel stand up much straighter (commanding Flamenco posture) every time he steps with his arm over his head. It's early days!

According to the protocols, the team did only two Choreographic elements instead of the required three - the ChSl and the required. ChSt, for which they received only a 0.83 GOE.

I don't think just about anywhere will do. It's not like absolutely all other coaches are good with levels.

As for last season's RD, it was nice, but I didn't think it was particularly special or imaginative either. This season's programs are okay - they suit them well and are pretty well choreographed too (especially the FD).
