JGP Yerevan assignments are out - Elyce Lin-Gracey gets a 2nd assignment. Annika Chao is a placeholder on the official entries list, that spot is TBD on the USFS Int'l Assignments page.

Nepela Trophy entries - Amber Glenn is assigned.

Of the US women with GP assignments, only Starr and Clare haven't been given a Challenger yet - I'd guess Clare is going to Finlandia while Starr will be at the non-CS Kings Cup Int'l in LA that same weekend (Isabeau will be in Japan for the Japan Open).

Lindsay Thorngren is out of Autumn Classic per the USFS international assignments page. Hopefully it's nothing serious and she'll be ready for Skate Canada.

No Challenger assignment for Clare Seo  Maybe she'll be at the LA autumn classic/Kings Cup to prepare for Skate America?

There is still Budapest Trophy prior to SkAm. It would be a tough turnaround for Clare, since it's only a week, but doable.

Bummed about Lindsay! Budapest Trophy could be in the cards for her too.

Wow! So impressed with how much Elyce-Lynn Gracey has improved this year. Her artistry is absolutely lovely. She has much more power in her skating. Her flip jumps were great and her lutzes mostly excellent height and distance. Spins impressive. Congratulations to her for so much improvement since last year! Great to see. She didn’t cave in or look like a deer in the headlights in the final group with triple axels flying around her. I’ll be excited to watch her journey.

Elyce's hyphenated last name is Lin (her mother's maiden name)-Gracey (her father's). Her 3rd place FS video hasn't been uploaded on the ISU JGP channel yet but here's her 5th place SP video from Istanbul yesterday (she skated 2nd of 35): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwVLK1x6GJw
She set 3 ISU personal best scores in Istanbul: 179.16 (4th overall), 59.75 (SP), 119.41 (FS).
She's scheduled to compete in JGP #7 in Yerevan, Armenia.

Kind of thought Elyce would have the bronze after Kim’s subpar skate too. Thanks for correcting me on the spelling Sylvia.

Will Elyce get a second JGP? (I hope)

She has already been confirmed on the USFS Int'l Assignments page as being assigned to JGP #7 in Yerevan.

Here's Elyce Lin-Gracey's JGP Istanbul FS :): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeMuUBrjzwo

Not yet confirmed on USFS' Assignment page but a change was made in the ISU's entries for JGP #5 in Budapest on Sept. 8 - Sherry Zhang has replaced Soho Lee (moved to the subs list).

Sherry has the highest NQS score (182.44) among the Junior women to date and also won her most recent NQS comp. last weekend at Golden West with the highest score (178.57) of the 2 Junior groups. Soho won the Senior SP at Golden West (58.94) but had a tough FS (many singled jumps) and ended up 3rd overall (122.42) behind Nicole Park (143.96; scored 150.07 at Glacier Falls) and Sonia Baram 141.70 (her first NQS).

Sorry to hear that both Lindsay and Bradie have WD from CS Autumn Classic (Lindsay already has had two very good early season competitions under her belt) ... it's always preferable to compete when feeling ready and confident.

Amber posted this clip today: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CxBQmGqLtqs/
Per the Shanghai Trophy thread in KnC, Lindsay has been invited to compete there, so she'll have a great opportunity to continue to build up her resume going into her GPs.

Shanghai Trophy isn't going to add up to WS points, though, there are only 6 competitors in women.

Is there prize money like for the Japan Open? It would be a chance to get both programs out in from of an international panel of judges at least.

Eh - she's #16 and that's with Schott sitting out competitions for now. It won't hurt her being in the final flight for the SP at SCI - Andrews is nearly 500 points behind her. It might hurt her at NHK, but probably not.

But like what resume is she building up though, I guess she gets a SB here, depending on TP composition?

No, she won't get a SB since it's not a Challenger. I think getting out in front of another international panel and getting a chance to compete in China are good incentive.

There isn't an announcement for the event on the ISU Calendar page, @Sylvia, so I'm not sure if there's prize money.

Well I've seen it being talked about quite a bit on weibo anyway, I'm guessing there's a not-bad sum? IDK though lol @Gris

I would pick Shanghai Trophy over Autumn Classic. The prize money is good and less competition, only 6 skaters. Plus she will probably get Autumn Classic in the future, but maybe not Shanghai.
