From Amber's tweet this morning:
"A fellow skater and I collided about two weeks ago resulting in me unable to do anything for 10 days. I’m recovering quickly/healthily and will “Be back to Slaying soon” xoxo -Amber"
Amber was classy and did not name the other skater - I can confirm that Sonja Hilmer is okay and in Oberstdorf, Germany right now for her first international outside of the USA (her first trip to Europe, in fact!).

If Amber was classy in not naming the other skater, why are you doing it?

Well, I'm not sure it was reported in this thread, but it was out there in the skating info-sphere, because it was mentioned on a recent TSL (I think the one the week of Lombardia Trophy) and both Amber and Sonja were named there.

I’m noting the irony of Sylvia’s post.

Per the USFS international assignments page, Logan Higase-Chen will compete in the junior event at Budapest Trophy.

I'm guessing this means that the last JGP Armenia spot will be between Sherry Zhang (depending on how she does this weekend) and Cleo Park (highest NQS score amongst those without a JGP so far)

Sherry Zhang was a standout in the short program skating with pep and verve! She needs refinement for sure, but I like that she shows her personality. She achieved some level 4’s and some pretty good GOE. Too bad about the fall on the backend of the triple toe/triple toe. Hoping she has a good free skate.

I just watched Isabeau‘s free program, totally rooting for her, but I could not watch that program as the costume swallowed her. so much fabric in the skirt. And then Kimmy skating after her with the same Warhorse music. I hope Anl is able to get through this season lol.

has it been mentioned yet what music Amber and Starr are doing this season? I wonder if Amber has new free music as Annika and Robert kept the same music for their free that Amber had for her free

Amber's choreographers are listed in her Team USA profile as Kaitlyn Weaver, Randi Strong, Katherine Hill (music not yet updated there). ETA from her fan thread in July:
Amber has been working with Kaitlyn Weaver in Colorado Springs on her new SP (music not yet revealed): https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cudb588LYOE/

Kaitlyn's clips+photos today ("An honour to serve and create alongside @randistrong for one of my biggest inspirations ... AMBER GLENN → SP 23/24"): https://www.instagram.com/p/CumwElHrC8i/

Starr Andrews is scheduled to make her season debut at the Kings Cup International (new name for the senior/junior singles international at the U.S. Autumn Classic NQS in El Segundo, CA in early October). I can't copy-and-paste her part from Golden Skate's "Evening with Champions" review but will post the article link in the EWC show thread.
Starr announced her SP music back in April - "Alien Superstar" by Beyoncé
Adam Rippon choreographed - Starr's post back on July 20 with photo/clips: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cu7vBrjya4V/)

Her FS music is "Being Good Isn't Good Enough" and she skated to this song at the Peggy Fleming Trophy in July 2021 (she used the Lea Michele/Glee cover there) and her coach Derrick Delmore choreographed, AFAIK.

Both of Isabeaus costumes were big misses. Her coach is doing her no favors with her packaging and material.

Levito looks beatable domestically. Are any age-eligible skaters seriously training triple axels or quads (aside from Glenn and her 3A).
Not that we're aware of.

I think Lindsay has the goods to beat her domestically, though we have yet to see how she'll score against a tougher international panel since she WD from ACI. Guess we'll find out about Bradie if she shows up at Budapest Trophy in a few weeks. I don't think Starr has the tech to catch Isabeau. Who else is there?

Nebelhorn final standings:
1 Isabeau LEVITO USA 198.79 1 (69.30 SP) 2 (129.49 FS) - first competition of her season
7 Sonja HILMER USA 160.13 9 (51.79) 7 (108.34)

Sonja just posted from Oberstdorf: https://www.instagram.com/p/CximudkIzrp/

Danke, Nebelhorn 💖🐄

Well, life threw just about everything it could at me in the two weeks leading up to Nebelhorn, but I am so proud that I was still able to compete! Not only that, but I was able to count 3 new goals accomplished for the season after all was said and done. No matter what happens in any moment, there is always enough good to look at to override the bad (even if it doesn't seem like it at the time)!

I also brought my cute bracelet from @brilliance_melrose so I could photograph it in this beautiful rink ✨ it ended up being a reminder of who I am... the skate: for the passion I have for this sport, and the gems: purple for the color of creativity

Why so negative about our clear number one? Isabeau just won her Challenger with an early season score of 198.79. She had better results internationally than any other American woman last year and the judges are still with her. I would love to see a rivalry develop between her and Lindsay like in the great days of Ashley v Gracie and Michelle v Tara. Hopefully that will happen. Otherwise, other than a consistent Amber with a clean triple axle, I don’t see Isabeau being toppled from the top spot domestically.

Props to Sherry Zhang who goes into her jumps without looking like a deer in the headlights! She skates with attack and verve for a 14 year old. Her loop and lutz were gorgeous! I hope she can get in more training and continue to develop her talent.

The Isabeau/Alysa Liu rivalry would have been great. I do think having close competitors domestically really pushes skaters to excel. Would love to see Lindsey back in contention. Isabeau was thrust into the spotlight as U.S. number one at age 15 while she was growing and adjusting to seniors and in my book has done an incredible job. But I would like to see others nipping at her heels.
