I'm fine with Zhang/Yang winning here, even though they had a bad lift. Their program is better, their SP performance was much better, and they're the better skaters overall, even if she seemed kind of nervous here.
Wang/Jia remind me a bit of Zhang Dan/Zhang Hao. I always thought he outshone her performance-wise. However, here they were both ill-suited to the long program. I'd give them a lead in the LP and put them behind Zhang/Yang overall too, so it shook out the way I wanted, even if I felt it was too close.
Zhang/Huang are good (
@Gris gave the wrong video there by the way, here it is
https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1FT411m731/), and I liked their presentation the best. Fantastic throws and twists, even though I think she's going to experience a growth spurt soon so we'll have to see how it holds up. Need work on SBS. Firm number 3 for me, might be number 2 if they hold up next season, but if not Zhang/Yang are still there to pick up after P/J. Huang impressed me greatly last season with his performance quality at Nebelhorn too, hopefully this pairing works out for him.
Good to see Nini's videos gaining a huge number of views in a short while, she's very much their women's hope. Her movement quality is fantastic, it's almost unbelievable she's only 16. I just hope she goes to a choreographer who doesn't make her writhe so much, she doesn't need it.
Good to see the boys spazzing in the stands after various skaters, lol, it's a sport, and I like those shots.
