The reason David Day has his name written in Western name order and like a Christian name is because I'm guessing he requested it. Chinese would be Dai Dawei.

The Uyghur team doesn't have "Chinese" names, their Islamic names are transcribed in Chinese in the regular/Western name order. So 穆妮热·罗合曼 (Munire Rahman) instead of 罗合曼 穆妮热. Or Munira Rahman. Munire doesn't return hits to me, but I did find Münire (Turkic).

@raruki Since it's all uneven like this with the various names, I agree western name order for everyone is better. The others here will already understand it, too, without needing to adjust.

Sorry Guys, I don't notice that the playlist doesn't match the orders of the final rankings(The playlist of SP did match the orders of the rankings in SP though). I have edited the post again and inserted the specific links of each skater. And thanks for following the Chinese skating news.
Thanks for posting it! I try to keep up a little bit.

Cong HAN article in English (April 13, 2023):
The 30-year-old veteran followed the two-day competitions at China's season-ending National Championships, which concluded here on Thursday.
"I took the certification exam to be a national-class figure skating technical specialist before I came here, and was just told that I had passed," Han said.
"I'm here trying to learn from the technical panel and to get a better understanding of everything that surrounds a figure skating tournament," he added.
Sui, who is studying choreography at Beijing Dance Academy, wrote on social media that she is pondering a possible return to the ice rink, while Han admitted to Xinhua that his fitness plays a big part in the prospect of the pair's return, which seems impossible in recent days.
"My body condition is not good enough for me to resume training. My hip is still hurting, maybe not as bad as before when it hurt every time I sneezed, but yes, it's hurting," Han said with a wry smile, adding that he has been busy away from the rink lately.
"I'm doing my duty as a member of the ISU (International Skating Union) Technical Committee, as well as calling out for athletes in a continental forum," said Han, who was appointed as the skater member of the Single & Pair Skating Technical Committee by the ISU last September.
His schedule in March included the OCA (Olympic Council of Asia) Athletes Forum in Bangkok, Thailand before he flew to Saitama, Japan for the ISU technical meeting.
"This part of the job is complicated, comprehensive and detailed, but I feel fresh and very interested," he said.
"I love figure skating and won't leave the sport, regardless of whether I return as an athlete or not," he added.
ETA - posted on April in this thread:

Sui Wenjing, Han Cong, and Jin Yang have qualified to be technical specialists at the domestic level.

Wenjing did indeed say it on weibo a couple times. I hope they're not forced to return, but unfortunately I doubt Cong'll be given a choice (it won't be Wenjing's choice either assuming she changes her mind). Probably will depend on how the Pairs do next season, fingers crossed for them as well as for Cong.

I don't think they'll be forced to return. Cong's moving on from actively competing and I'd guess with their resume, they are in a stronger position to say no than other skaters.

I'm not really sure tbh. I doubt China will want to lose face in Pairs, and as @Gris mentioned earlier, cases like Li Na's should be rare when it comes to sports because of the state-funding that goes on. Sui/Han would be the prime candidates to bring back through the emotional blackmailing she mentioned, it's the others that are more dispensable (a la Yan Han and Chen Hongyi, whereas Jin Boyang might be told to stay on after Milan for previously winning world medals).

Of course, the form and physical condition do matter, so that might come into picture, and might be why Cong made sure to mention it.

Nini performed her SP from the 19-20 season, "Opportunity”, for her high school's ice hockey competition.

Maybe we can separate the Chinese skaters social media updates and all to a cheer thread in the trash can (including rumour discussion I guess)?
