Ladies 6&7 group recap
Empress -- She's like Slutskaya reincarnated. If you over analize it there's not much there but who cares, she ROCKS!!
Paganini - The sensual mood fits her but yikes missing the LP cut.
Ryabova - Peacock dress bonus but after the final group she's an afterthought.
Yelim -- Wow... much improved since last I saw her. Should be above Chen.
Boss Girl -- Well, if my math is correct she's still in the run for an Oly spot.
Kibbus - I adore her and still miss the lettuce costume. This was bad but she fought.
Former Quad Queen - No quad, no jumps, Plushenko not knowing whats going on. This was pricelss for all the bad reasons.
Scherbakova - She has benefitted the most from all this seasons's drama, meaning staying out of it!! Well deserved.
Kaori - her style speaks to me in a way none of the others do.
Satoko - ouch, ouch but lovely as always.
Tennell - I aprreciate the effort but the charisma is lacking.
Kihira - Magnificat!!

There's some argument over exactly how the new ISU rules work, but she either already has qualified for her first Olympics or has a great shot at doing so now.

I was referring to Brezinova, not Hendrickx.
Belgium has a really promising junior skater named Nina Pinzarrone, but I don't think she's eligible for seniors next season. I don't think there's anybody else who as the minimums to go to the Olympics.

The way I interpret D1 and D2 is that 24 spots (max) are allocated during Worlds for singles skaters based on who makes the free skate**. D2 states that if a country has a situation where a second or third skater either doesn't make the LP but the spot is earned by other(s), then that will be part of the 6 additional spot pool at Nebelhorn.
**- The only way 24 skaters wouldn't qualify from Worlds placements is if a country loses a spot with no chance to get it back at Nebelhorn but all skaters involved were in the top 24. Example would be if Russia would for some reason finish in 7th, 8th, and 15th place. They had 3 skaters in the 24, but only qualified 2 skaters to the Olympics and the next Worlds. Therefore, only 23 spots would be allocated at Worlds and 7 would be up for grabs at Nebelhorn.
I commented elsewhere that I'm fairly certain this rule was put into place so that the skaters 20th-24th, who sometimes got left out for skaters like (bless him) Abzal Rakimgaliev because of Denis Ten earning two spots twice, actually earned their spots outright at Worlds.

My calculation, which probably isn't accurate, is that if the final standings are the same as the standings after the SP, the number of entries earned would be:
FSR: 3
JPN: 3
USA: 3
KOR: 3
CAN: 1 (+1 earnable at Nebelhorn)
BEL: 1 (+1 earnable at Nebelhorn, and I'm not sure that Belgium has anyone who could earn it)
AUT: 1
AZE: 1
FIN: 1
SWE: 1
BUL: 1
GEO: 1
EST: 1
GER: 1
That's 22+2 (i.e., potentially 24)
The next two are:
CZE
CHN (It has one host spot whether or not it is earned here, but if it is earned here, that would make it 6 spots earnable for other Federations at Nebelhorn)
After that are:
GBR
NED
I think Lil Sis needs another good skate on Friday to guarantee an Olympic entry for her Federation.
I still think it was switched so that anyone qualifying to the LP gets at least the one spot for their country and BEL and CAN don't get included in the 24. They are included in the potential 6 later on.

Well, Aymoz did himself no favors last season missing the free at Euros. And Shoma and Vincent both had rough falls and skipped 4CCs.
Morisi won bronze at Euros last year, and Grassl & Rizzo followed in 4th & 5th. So, they probably had more WS points when all was said and done.
