Per the FRWL thread, Aliev is officially out of Nationals. I'm sorry to hear it, of course; but I've gotta say that I don't really need to witness a free skate that compounds a. everything required in a men's long program with b. Rukavicin's lauded conditioning training with c. post c*v*d breathing. Wishing Aliev the best in getting well.

I've not been following the Russian Cup series (as unfortunately the quality of live streaming in my current location has been inadequate). Does it seem likely he will be invited to the Russian Cup Final? Or is that off the table?

Kolyada pushing himself for nationals that one season seemed cool at the time but ended up being such a mess. I'd rather Aliev took off and not overdo it for sure. Of course I am going to be loyal to S/K and take their side lol but I can understand it in their situation too. There's a big difference between flying to Chelyabinsk for a highly demanding competition and staying home (ok it's not in Moscow, I thought I remembered that's where Navka's shows are but I was wrong!) for a show that gives them just enough extra time to recover.

RCF entries were always kinda crazy with some skaters appearing who have not skated all season (or at RC before). So I have no doubt he might get invited, especially as it all seems 2019 all over again, where RCF might be the ultimate decider who makes it to worlds in the end.

Even I'm not delusional enough to think P/R will be on the podium. It's going to be Daria!

Kostornaia is out. Sasha, Nugu and Kamilla FTW! (I'd pick Anna, but she hasn't been on the ice for long).

Gumennik is going to let those wings fly!
