Now Luft/Kazimov are crossed out JGP SVK and replaced by Peterson/Schuster (whoever they are). I don't get this at all after their good outing at NRW Summer Trophy.
But someone might have had a lot of thoughts about this.

They are now assigned LTU.
Peterson & Schuster are based in Oberstdorf. He used to compete for Austria before, but I had never heard her name before.

My guess is the German Fed just entered names based on who they knew was training early enough in the summer and now that all the monitoring and training camps are done they are switching around.

That being said the dance teams were likely asked with events they want to do during the training camp and Luft & Kazimov and Matthaei & Pfisterer being on the national team likely go their favorite ones.
Assuming there is no change Wolf & Liebers are getting JGP CZE so I would expect Luft & Kazimov to get JGP ARM as their second event.

As for hte ladies I have a feeling Marold is the question mark. She just changed clubs from Regensburg to Aschaffenburg but is based in Linz (AUT) now.
Unless I am completely mistaken she was on the picture of the Junior ladies camp.

9 GP spots to date for #teamgermany :hat1:
Cannot recall the last time, we had that many entries.
Of course it's post-olympics, but who cares; great opportunity, and still a slight chance for Fentz, M/D, K/N getting a 2nd or U/S a 1st.

Not surprising. He’s short and slightly built so his potential partners are very limited.

Hmm either ISU has started adding programm info for all skaters or Starostin is listed for one of the last 2 JGP slots.

There is a short clip about Aljona talking about her plans at t-online.de.

Summary: She would like to compete at Beijing 2022 with Bruno as her partner. The decision seems up to Bruno. It even could be possible to have a baby before 2022.

I am not sure if there is enough time left to have a baby and to be ready for 2022. Since you need to compete in the 20/21 season before the Olympics to convince everyone again. This is how figure skating works.

Kinda rough outing for german junior to start the JGP season.

Denis Gurdzhi: SP, FS
Elodie Eudine: SP
Peterson/Schuster: RD, FD

Someone knew wh Eudine withdrew before the FS? She is removed from the Linz entries now too :(

Peterson/Schuster I kinda liked to be honest.

Does anybody know if german fed set up the head-to-heads in all disciplines at Nebelhorn?
I like that all potential euros candidates (besides Bock) go head to head in at least 2 of the counting events.

Great for the audience too, especially this year, with the, ehm, kinda unworthy roster for the nebelhorn anniversary.

Does anybody know, why? I just decided yesterday to go, and then the lack of skaters. At least mini-nationals :encore:as I can't go to Stuttgart. Hopefully, the ladies won't withdraw. Some have a tendency to do so.

IMO the roster is scandalous (by numbers, not participants)

Does anybody know, why?

Numbers really aren't down relative to 2016. Last year they were super high because Nebelhorn was the final Olympic qualifier, but the dance and pairs fields are the same as two years ago. Men are down by 4. Ladies are up by 5.

Good to see Dastich on the entry list of JGP Ljubljana. Hope she has recovered from injury (I don't know what has been injured though).
Hocke/ Blommaert at Nebelhorn doesn't look good to me. He has posted a picture walking on crouches. Considering the fact that they have had almost no practice in summer, because he had to go to the army for months I just hope they'll make it to the first Grand Prix in Everett.

A blade cut through Blommaerts boots, so if it's only stitches, there is still hope.

Big shoutout to Luft/Kazimov.
IMHO they improved a lot to last season.

I really liked the RD, she sold the hell outta it.

I am a bit disappointed in the judging, especially PCS, compared to P/S and M/P; I know it's hard to compare different comeptitions, but for me, they were by far the best of those.
(Happy though they scored high at NRW Summer Trophy and hope those scores will help them making it to junior worlds)

Kai Jagoda, I am still confused why they hold on to his spot after NRW. Must have been the 3a. Because that was a hot mess. Sorry.

She also sold the FD. IMO Luft/Kazimov have the best package at the moment. I hope, they will stay together (you never know in German ID :wuzrobbed) and improve the same way year by year.

Schott and Dastich outta Nebelhorn :drama:
What's going on here?

Dastich is entered for the jgp a week later; no infos about Schott. Injuries?

How strict is DEU this year? In olympic season a WD challenger could not be replaced by another. This year the same or they still have 3 shots?

Sigh. Same procedure as every CS event, when there is more than one German lady...
(Well, perhaps there a serious reasons, but right now, I'm disappointed)
Hopefully, Weinzierl stays and slays.

Very rough outings for Weinzierl and Müller/Dieck at their respective opening challengers:

Weinzierl SP, FS 138,66pts
Müller/Dieck RD, FD 141,03pts

I guess they have to rely on other challengers (or GP) and nationals to make it to euros. these scores won't help.

M/D FD: they are not on the level to pull a FD like that off, sorry. Big doubts.

It's the beginning of the season, but neither Weinzierl nor M/D went to the Olympics. They had plenty of time to prepare for this season. Weinzierl even kept her programs, so she should definitely have a better start.
I personally don't like the FD of Müller/ Dieck and I can't imagine that they'll earn a lot of points with it. Even if there a no mistakes. The concept of theme, music and voiceovers is just a mess.

I actually liked M&D's FD a lot more this time than when I saw it a couple of weeks ago, but seeing some of the judges actually going down on the marks for Interpretation and Composition compared to the other PCS is not a good sign.
