I'm mostly happy with dance, it's a miracle! Loveeeee TeamD's FD since Nebelhorn, nice for them to skate their best here. Redemption for Chris & Kana after the team event FD, and I hope they continue because she has come so far so quickly.

:respec: to Penny for getting to the Olympics, now go to Worlds for 2 spots for BabyBuckland and Lilah & Lewis next year.

Sad for DivaChock, they grew on me a lot this year, and a little sad for Madi & Zach for screwing up AGAIN when they should have medalled, but there was an air of inevitability around the whole thing. They can have the next 4 years as I expect the Shibs will be done after this.

Anna & Luca :swoon: I'm still a sucker for their style after all these years. #MissionGoodbyeMedalinMilan!

Going to be a big team purge after worlds just due to retirement alone. Lots of empty spaces for some of those juniors we love. :saint:

Revised question of the day: Can Schott nail a clean SP? If so, can she better Weinzierl's 10th place SP finish 4 years ago? ;)

FD recap.

I just realized the FD wasn't as contemporary lyric heavy influenced as I feared it will be when P&C rose to the top. I guess last years V&M return entered some sense of range in some teams:

SVK: Gimme my baby pirates ! Wasted spot.
TUR: Cleopatra + Woodkid + Sloppy Skating. :scream:
KOR: Lovely costumes, that's it.
FRA: Impressive lifts. But they dont look easy. Keep working
GER::blah: Program. If you are not P&C, don't even try with this style until they retire.
JPN: I wish she would dump Chris and continue. Tanaka in dance maybe??
POL: Waaay too old fashioned.
Z&G: Judges never liked this FD all season yet they insisted on it. :wall:
ESP: Wow, they are really improving fast.. Is weird to see Khaliavin skating so much relaxed than when he skated with his wife. :shuffle:
GBR: Good they at lesast kept that awesome K&P homage lift.
ITA: They should have been ITA#1 for the past 2 years.
C&B: Sad for the fall but let's face it, they were doomed anyways.
G&P: She's a bong girl indeed but he was no James!
W&P: 5 year later all the passion this program once had is gone. It felt like having sex with an ex you hadnt seen in years and didnt really care for.
C&L: Im not sure how are most of you expecting any mission bronze/gold whatever when their skating is just not up to the stadard of the current medallists. Again, lovely people but charisma isn't everything.
B&S: I love all the lifts here but is not really a cohesive program. Something is missing.
H&D: What a let down. I wish they would have lost the bronze with a stupid mistake like in Helsinki but this was just not good enough. I told family this was my fave program of the season because it was so sexy and after it finished they had this " :blah:do you get horny with that crap :huh:?" look.
Shibs: Ok kids you got your well deserved medal. Now retire Coldplay before it gets trendy in skating.
P&C: No one has their flow and ethereal feel . I also wanted the silver for them because I want them to show us someting different during the next cycle but losing the title on a silly costume malfunction is too cruel from the skating gods.:(
V&M: If any team is worthy of being more condecorated than Pasha, its them. :encore:

Do-hard Award: Scott Moir. Judging by his K&C reactions I bet he likes it really hard .:slinkaway

I remember when people were insisting they were going to get passed by Riazanova and Tkachenko.

Good times.

B&S actually had a pretty remarkable career considering the injury that took him out for a season and a half, and the meldonium mess. I thought both of those were the end for them.
