This isn't about how any of us do things ourselves. It's about what the advertising firms have discovered about general buying habits and how younger people spend more $$$ than older people, so advertisers want their ads to play during TV programs that attract those younger viewers/buyers. I fear every year that The Good Wife will be cancelled because it attracts an older audience than most shows.
