UPDATED: OMFG . . . Adam Rippon, Tonya Harding and Mirai Nagasu are on the DWTS' all-athlete cast

I'm pretty neutral on Tonya, but I wish she weren't cast in the same season as Adam. I'm worried that if he's friendly to her, the skating world will be annoyed, and if he's anything less than that, the rest of the world will be annoyed.
 
When I heard this awful news today, I almost spit out the creamy hazel-nut coffee my wife had brewed for me in our new coffee machine! This is a disgracefull moment in the history of TV. This is the worse thing that has happened on TV since they cancelled Every Body Loves Raymond. This is worse then the episode of Roseanne where two women kissed each other in a same-sexual kiss. This is just awful.

My wife and I are both going to officially boy-cot the show. We will spend the time instead turning off all electric devices in the home and praying. It is the only thing that might save the TV stations and America it'self from this horrible, awful awful choice to let Adam Rippon be on the show.

This "speaks" for my wife and I also. Tonya never deserved the bad "rap" she got, her People Are Having Sex program was edgy but classy at the same time! I hope; that being back in the spot-light wiill make people appreciate her more then ever!

This is the most serious tradegy since Angelina Jolly broke up with Bradd Pitt and you are making jokes about it? I hope Adam get's eliminated more quickly then Hispanic food moves through my body after I eat a feast at Chi Chis.
 
Is boycotting a TV-show even a real thing lol. I thought it was called not watching and is done with about 90-99.9% of all shows for people with normal lives.

Me, I never watched that show and I won't do it now. I'll stick to NHL playoffs, any figure skating competition, Homeland, The Americans and McMafia then I'll BOYCOTT EVERYTHING ELSE!

Why do you think they skipped Worlds? They wanted to take advantage of media appearances and maybe get an invite to DWTS.

You're right, it was twice, not one time. However, that was one quote to US Weekly that had been reposted by different news sources talking about DWTS generally and asking different athletes about it. It wasn't as if the Shibs were desperately seeking out DWTS and mentioning it on their own as the original poster suggested they were doing. It was very similar answers to what Kelly Rippa asked them unprovoked. My point is they only spoke about it when asked and it was like two times. One for US Weekly that got reposted and then once with their interview with Kelly Rippa who brought it up. They probably would have accepted if they got invited and sure it would have been nice, but I don't think they were "desperate" for it.
 
Even H/D were asked about it and they also said that they would accept if they were offered, I think it was one of the most frequent questions that were asked to the athletes before, during and after the Olympics.

I'm glad he's on the show, I just wonder if he knew Tonya was invited as well. I feel like he might get linked with her just by being the other skater on the show. Or have to answer dumb questions about the whack that have nothing to do with him.

I would be surprised of we hear much, if anything, about the whack. Tonya has made it very clear that she won't talk about it unless she gets a lot of money for doing so.
 
Adam will be teamed with Mark Balas and after their popular win, will be offered Hollywood contracts to make an all-boy version of “strictly ballroom”

Tonya will be 2nd after a fan-friendly but judge-averse little Edie style tribute to Uncle Sam because ‘merca’

I saw this this morning but was still trying to regain some composure over the possible Knierims news.

Tonya as we all know aint graceful and will tune in for this alone..... Nancy is graceful, and how far did she get?

I like a challenge so I will root for an underdog...

Having said that I am starting to warm to people who said they shouldn't be making or glorifying Tonya now since she really is more famous for a crime..... than for a 3 axel.

Adam will make great TV. Wish tho they would put him with a man partner. I mean Damn its 2018, not the stone ages. And he skinny enough to be tossed, turned, thrown and flipped.
