The Good News Thread

Saw a news piece about a holocaust survivor who turned 100. I cannot find a link to the actual article but here she is Freda Kon. Amazing woman! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

The article is under her picture if you scroll down.

I didn't want to start a thread but wanted a place to express my joy for my cousin Alice. She is one of the dancers of Born to Perform who received a golden buzzer in Britain's Got Talent. I'm here in Canada so we don't get the show live but they had the semifinals last night so if you are in Britain vote for Born to Perform to make the finals!

If anyone looks it up on youtube she is the one constantly waving to Simon lol!

18 y.o. Triplets graduate with degrees in neuroscience.
Are their names Amy, Farrah and Fowler (no, I haven't read the article)?

For those not reading the article: I didn't know Georgia Tech was that hard to get into, esp their Science dept. And these brothers entered at age 16 & are graduating at age 19. Well done!

GT is very hard to get into, especially in STEM fields. My son got into Aero Engineering, but decided to go elsewhere. (Sorry, must brag!). When he was applying, I had editorials pop up in my news feed from GA newspapers criticizing the university for admitting too many out-of-state students and making it very hard for in-state students to get into engineering. GT has somehow truly become an excellent institution in a wide variety of fields.
