Without having any insight, Mrazeks seem like a team that has been stagnating because they're not getting the best programs/packaging development. Of course easy to say that as a mere spectator.

I feel the opposite. I find their programs are good but they continue to make lots of mistakes and they often lose levels in and there. It is not a one off but it happens quite frequently during the season.
I think Zanni is a better coreographer than coach.

On the Taschlers, I think their Rhythm Dances work well (and are often underscored there) but their packaging in Free Dances is often lacking and they end up with "weird" programs (and this year's one with Margaglio wasn't much better).

I'm curious if the judges will allow one of the Czech teams to place in the top 10 or at least letting them go close to it. The Taschlers were 3.5 points infront of the Mrazeks at the Olympics, which is more or less what Katerina's twizzle mistake was worth. I didn't really see a big push for either team, so it will be interesting to see who the judges are going with in Prague.

I think the Taschlers and the Mrazeks could both be helped by the usual post-Olympics Worlds messiness. Not that both teams haven't had their own share of messiness this season, but they left Milan fairly soon after the dance competition ended and they'll have the motivation of home Worlds to give them a solid training block. Whereas other teams have had ten days of post-competition Olympic village fun - not criticising that choice at all! - and without the extra motivation it's got to be hard to lock back into training after that experience plus the Olympic stress plus whatever lurgies they've brought back home with them.

Kind of similarly, I'm expecting Fabbri/Ayer (if they sub in for Gilles/Poirier) to end up around Lauriault/le Gac's position in the rankings.

In the last month, Lim/Quan - the runner up of the Mrazeks at 2023 Junior Worlds- have decided to keep up with them in terms of making at least one big mistake per competition

Let's hope he can come back healthy after this troubling season and it doesn't become a team permanently semi-injured.

They have concluded their season after Nationals because his injury was healing as fast as hoped.
So if Guignard/Fabbri WD from Worlds, the 2 Italian spots will go to Manni/Roethlisberger and Paolino/Tuba as Dozzi/Papetti have split.
I would not be surprised if M/R are also considering retirement at the end of the season. They are 32 years old and seem have reached their ceiling. An healthy T/L should pass them easily next season.

Personally I feel the Mrazeks' programs this year highlighted their weaknesses rather than their strengths. They are so powerful, so you'd think an AC/DC program would totally work for them. But the end result looked wild and almost out of control at times. And to me, Malaguena requires a level of detail and flamenco styling that just wasn't there.

This is what I've been thinking. I loved that cohort of Juniors and it is interesting to see how they've done. I feel like Bekker/Hernandez have really been showing themselves as a team that is headed up.

After the season is done, I hope the Mrazeks have a critical look at their coaching situation and decide if Egna is really the best place for them. Taschlers weren't 100% committed to do another Olympic cycle, hopefully they will continue.

With worlds in Prague I wouldn't be surprised to see the Czech teams getting a little boost in GOE and PCS. They still have to skate well but I would say top 10 is possible. Post-olympic worlds always have a bit of chaos as some top skaters skip and others who do a lot of press/shows after the Olympics may be somewhat undertrained.

I'm hoping that Ichilov/Nosovitskiy will have a good showing. It looks like she's finally found a partner who can help her get to the next level; I was very pleasantly suprised at Euros.

The fact that Noah's injury takes so long to heal makes me also worried, but I am glad that they take the more cautious approach and let him heal properly. With all the retirements happening, next season may open some opportunities for the younger teams to make a big jump in the dance hierarchy, if they have good programs.

Katerina is having a rough time with the natural maturation process during puberty. Otherwise, there may be injuries we know nothing about, or a lack of motivation due to stagnation. They need a change. I thought their Beatles program was very promising, but they can't seem to get the FD just right, and as you rightly said a lot of little errors.
