The Craziness Continues

Is this something new? I was thinking about this the other day: Why do men harm women/girls? Lust? Control? Insurance/money? And is there a space in history when harming females ceased? Ever? I often wondered if it was less among the Iroquois where women had real power and they didn’t have a patriarchal religious structure. I read there are some tribes in Africa that ban men—they are hetro but they are sick of the bs. Men can be a part of the group if they follow the rules. I imagine women taking the reigns have upset some men who want control. Fortunately there are plenty of guys who are ok with change.
I would think harm/violence against is caused by control, the belief that women are inferior, and fear of women's power.

I would think that when women hold or gain legitimate power and rights, harms against them would decrease. It's only logical, and there is plenty of evidence of it.

I haven't heard of societies where men are banned, but did hear of a tribe in which men veiled and women did not. The women in that society held more power than women in other African tribes. And I've heard of one matrilineal group in China, the Nam people. The women and children live separately from the men, although the men have all the political power.

The most egalitarian society I've ever heard of is the Mbuti pygmies of Zaire. They had various gender equalizing traditions - father gives his children their first solid food, teenagers play a rope tugging game to show the benefits of working together as equals.

The Mbuti's only deity is the rainforest.

Some - many - men have accepted change and some support women's rights and freedoms. Unfortunately some, like Incel, do not.

Hot Pocket Assault, literally and figuratively!

Don't you think it's odd that the op cut off any information about what the job application is for? If the position were in a explicitly religious organization than the questions might make make sense, and none of the applicants are likely to object to them.
Don't you think it is illegal to ask these questions?
I would think the ACLU would be all over this.

HHHmmm.....maybe enemies of women should not go up in planes: This guy has been a problem for decades...no more....

And for the third time today. I think that we have become unhinged as a society!

I don't know if this is considered crazy or not. This article is about scientists studying near death experiences. They see a surge in brain activity in dying patients that they believe explains the near-death experience.

Scientists saw a surge in brain activity in dying patients. It's one of the very few times where researchers have had the opportunity to measure brain activity in humans immediately before and after "death."

The researchers say it could help explain the bizarre phenomenon that so many people report during a near-death experience, like leaving the body, floating above it, or seeing memories of their lives flash before their eyes.

Near-death experiences, "challenges our fundamental understanding of the dying brain," the researchers reported in the study, which was published last month. So, research like this is critical for building a clearer picture of the human experience near death.

In 2011, my doctors called my family and told them I was dying. My kidneys didn't respond to dialysis. It was the second time they had to put me on dialysis, and that time, there was no response to it. Septic shock had caused my kidneys to fail, and my liver began to fail. My doctors decided not to take me out of the induced coma because I would have suffered.

My parents were there at the ICU room I was in, and so were my two doctors. I could somehow see from above while I was in the bed with a machine beside me, and I felt something pumping through my neck. Then, I didn't feel it anymore and I heard an entity tell me that I was supposed to be asleep. I guess that meant I was supposed to die. Then I heard a voice tell me that it wasn't my time, and I woke up.

There were two doctors at the foot of my bed along with my family. They brought me out of the coma. The doctors looked at me like they had seen a ghost or something. Then they told me I had a complete turn around. It was around three hours after my family had arrived. My doctors told me that my kidneys suddenly started working on their own. They said that my kidneys were fine and healthy, and I had received a miracle.

About a week after that happened, I asked one of the doctors about the machine that had been beside me while I was in the coma. No one had told me about the dialysis machine, and the doctor asked me how I knew about it. I then told him I had seen it from above close to the ceiling. That's when my doctor freaked out, and he told me it was a dialysis machine. He then said I must have had a near death experience while in the coma.

My brain wasn't dying. It was fully functional, and I can't really explain about what I saw while I was still in the coma. So I really don't know exactly about the gamma rays these scientists observed in a dying brain. I just know that I saw me lying in the bed with a machine beside me.

Sad that I'm surprised it's still a crime to merely point a gun at someone.

IMO, I think the man is crazy. There have been people on occasion that have used my driveway to back up and turn around to go the other way, and not once did it even cross my mind to point a gun at their head just because they used my driveway. I guess it's because I live in a small town where there's hardly ever any shootings. :shuffle:

I totally understand, so here's the gist. " Authorities have yet to identify the man, but federal court records show that a jury in Fargo(North Dakota) was deliberating on Monday in the case of Jeffrey Sahl Ferris, 55, who was accused of nearly running over seven children last year and threatening one child with a gun." After the reading of the guilty verdict, the convicted individual slit his throat in the courtroom and died.
How did he have a knife in a courtroom?
