The Craziness Continues

Posted on city's FB (Austin Landing is a big entertainment/eating/shopping/condo area south of town). Can you imagine in this current climate?
"I am here to complain.. a very big complaint too. If you were at the fireworks last night, I hope you enjoyed them. For everyone else inside the movie theater who thought we were going to die.. I am very sorry. Last night was one of the scariest moments of my life.. and apparently Austin Landing doesn’t believe you can hear fireworks inside the theater…
Let me explain
I’m sitting watching a movie.. and next thing I hear is POW… POW… POW.. we all realize it’s not the movie. Everyone gets up, looks around and we start running.. I’ve never been so scared in my life thinking I was one room away from a sh00ter.. it induced SO MUCH PANIC. people left their shoes, and everything.. my husband went to complain because.. What a scary situation at first without knowing what it was, and even the manager said he came running out of his office cause he was concerned and was given NO WARNING that there would be fireworks.. He said they don’t tell anyone they’re doing them, and he had no idea and he was also very frustrated because he saw what it did to the people.. I mean who’s to say there isn’t a veteran in there? Or the simple fact it scared us ALL. Very upset with you Austin Landing. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS, AND CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE. HECK EVEN A WARNING WOULD BE NICE."

Comment - "I would’ve reacted the same except I carry every where I go. What would they have done if someone whipped out theirs? Someone needs to b held accountable for not notifying people of this stuff. U can’t just make a flier or post on FB and expect ppl to see it"

That could have been a disaster. People could have been trampled or had a heart attack. Or shot toward the doorway in the dark and hit innocent people.

p.s. the man who shot and killed 4 people in Vandalia (north of Dayton) yesterday has not been caught. And Thursday was the 3rd anniversary of the mass shooting in the Oregon District (another entertainment district) where 9 people were killed. Who wouldn't be on edge?

I can easily see how a group of people in a state of panic could end up in someone getting hurt. I think that fireworks should be done with lots of advance notice in today's environment of mass shootings.

Actually, am not a fan of fireworks at all re the potential for starting a fire and potential fir burning someone. Would not be sad if they went the way of the dinosaur.

There are people who said the festival/fireworks were publicized. Who thinks of that going into a movie? The manager of the theater didn't even know. I wonder what all of the people in the restaurants thought, if they couldn't see the flashes of light. Or in the big Kroger there. One guy said professional fireworks sound different than gunshots. Not when you are sitting in the dark and there is a movie playing. The first boom could have been a store blowing up. We have people setting off personal fireworks every weekend in the summer. And they were all over the week of the 4th. People were asking where they could go to see them. Miamisburg's Riverfront festival and fireworks will be on Labor Day weekend. Why didn't any of the people who said that tell people there would be some the first week of August too. I guess now they will know to make an announcement before the movie that they might hear booms and not to panic.

And a dermatologist tries to poison her husband using Drano, but TG he recorded it on his cell phone!

What astounds me is that a physician would not come up with a better method of doing in her target. I have no medical training and can think of several methods that likely would be more effective and more difficult to trace than feeding someone drain cleaner.

And this is where parenting is going! I would bet that this guy is a Trump and Mastriano supporter...

Sadly, this is not new parenting. These sorts of things have been going on for as long as there has been humans. Some people are not capable of handling the stress of their daily life, and take it out on the people around them.

i wouldn't use stress as an excuse. This is a pattern with this man.

Not that it‘s not extreme, but unless he wired it up to do so an electric fence is not going to electrocute you. I touched one accidentally on a farm when I was a kid, and it just jolted me for a minute.
