what difference is there in awards/monetary compensation between an OGM and OSM? We know about the cars and that in spite of @alchemy void's best efforts Perkova is still taking the bus, but will there be a significant difference for Zag and Med?[/USER]

Zag will get her new BMW X6, Med - BMW X5. Both of them will also get some money for both their medals in the team event and in ladies event (≈ 58K€ / 70K$ for gold and ≈36€/ 45$ for silver )

Well, that's not that big of a difference. Shows can certainly make up that difference and it's not enough to retire on for sure. They just have to decide if skating in shows is more lucrative than competition.

If we look earlier, I love his skating but he used to win despite splatting
Lots of off ice drama with continuous coaching changes, dating coach daughter, controversial quotes at press conferences, etc..

And that’s why I nominate him for the Hall of Fame
Butyrskaya was a World Champ and she is still in the HOF
And indeed, Chan has been splatting and breaking our (mine ) hearts all those years, even when he was winning his Worlds titles. He deserves to be in the HOF

Tursy - Agreed with Boss, all about the mom.

Craine - Better than the last costume.
Schott - Boss says good job.

Williams - Too bad for her. At least she made the free.
Sotskova - Again agreed with Boss, Stasia for worlds! What was with the ear rubbing thing before she started?

Tennell - That Cinderella program is... not good.

Choi - Stunning beautiful
Nagasu - Messy skate, interview afterwards.
Miyahara - Brought her best at the Olympics. Very nice.
Kostner - At least she wasn't a green highlighter?
Sakamoto - My Dad liked the program a lot.
Zagitova - I am fine with her win too, even though she's not my fave.
Osmond - Didn't want to hope she'd keep it together. Brings out her best FS ever at the Olympics
Medvedeva - Aww, sweetheart . I felt for her seeing her reaction in the KnC. Very classy though. Kudos. I hoped she would get it, even if I think the result was fair.

Overall Olympics recap:

Dance

I'm sad that Madi and Zach didn't pull off bronze, but it was a fair result judging-wise. But mostly I'm too thrilled with the Gold result to really be upset about bronze.

Tessa and Scott Most decorated in ice dance, even without team event. Love them. Legends.

Pairs

My ideal podium. Great result. Amazing sportsmanship from Meagan. Aliona finally gets her gold. Love it.

Men

I was least invested here. I'm glad Javi got his medal, and you can't deny the brilliance of Hanyu. Dima showed he belonged on the team, but overall good result for him.

Ladies

I just recapped this, but overall: sad for Gabby and Med, but over the moon for Kaetlyn. Her medal broke Canada's all time record for number of medals at a winter Olympics.

3 world titles , and 2 of those were undeserving which made all his struggles this past cycle not heartbreaking at all IMO.

Yup, it's clear on twitter how much of a total insane fan she is, just like us, she would fit in well here. (Hi Meagan!)

Her reaction on the leader's couch when S/M won gold was pure genuine class, and really demonstrated what a fan she really is. One of my favorite moments of the games.

No need to worry, I love Chan and we have very open rules for HoF. I still am unsure, whether to accept him or not; a moment later the Kwan fans enter and want to nominate her, cause she failed 2 times
Unsure if he deserves the spot over skaters like DivaMari, DivaVera & Co.
I have to have an extraordinary on Fiji island again with vice to discuss that matter

Me too. But I thought I had an unfair advantage being an actual senior lady competitor in the US (15 years ago mind you). My sectional placements (3rd or 4th) and national placements (let's just say not in the top 6 or 12 lol) would have put me light years ahead of Austman.
