Skate America Free Dance -Chock and Awful

I don't think so. I haven't figured out why they can't break through either. But as much as I love them, they aren't going to get by Z/K, I'm thinking. Z/K will be USA's next big champions (I hope).
You do realize they were appreciably ahead of ZingKol last season, right? I don't think either of them have the upper hand and we're going to be subjected to another quad similar to the one with HubDon and ChoBat fighting it out and the USFS not picking a fighter, which will leave both of them languishing in the 3rd-5th range, maybe lower with as strong as some other teams are nowadays.

Scott is a good coach. He knows good music and I thinks he has the integrity to not hold that against the music. I mean that.
That was a beautiful skate from CarPon, still room to improve but that was much better.
The feeling I get from C & P's performances is that they have been given choreography for a different team. Maybe a team they want to become or a team their coaches want them to become. But not a program for who they are now.

I'm still over the overt NBC propaganda about Chock & Bates being slow is them "taking their time" and how it's a good thing. :lol:
I am so glad I’m here and not listening to that nonsense. Like why is everyone suddenly having the lightbulb turn on and try to defend them for all of the things that they never noticed before? Like those who are critical and explaining why aren’t just making things up 🤷🏼‍♂️

You know none of these scores are impressive. A lot of them lower than 125. A lot. Which we were told is the "benchmark".

Stationary Lift 1
One Foot Turns W:2 M:2 (W:1 M:2 after review)
Midline Step Sequence W:2 M:2
Choreo Assisted Jump/Lifting Movement
Synchronized Twizzles
W:3 M:3 (W:2 M:3 after review) - both with some wobbles
Curve Lift 4 + Curve Lift 4
Dance Spin 4
Choreo Character Step Sequence

Choreo Sliding Movement

I think the stationary lift lacked enough rotations to be given a higher level, and the 2nd set of twizzles were shaky. Otherwise they skated a very sharp routine, and demonstrated good speed, and power.

115.89 = 1st Place
192.61 = 1st Place

Yes I know they were ahead of Z/K but that's the point. Z/K are improving as we speak, C/P are stuck.
