Oh my goodness, this has been one of the strangest pair free skates I’ve ever seen, I mean aside from seventh and eighth Place, I think the entire rest of the leaderboard will be scrambled.

Twice this fall this team has cracked while leading a Grand Prix event. The first time it didn't cost them the title because no one else was better, but this time they've let Miura/Kihara off the hook.

Okay, Riku, I'm sorry I yelled at you last night. Well ... not really 'cause you did underrotate AGAIN today ... BUT, gosh darn it, you and Ryuichi showed us today that when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Champions do that.

MetBeru - 3tw - excellent; SBS 3s - and she goes down; SBS 3t+rep - messy landing for him & no combo; throw 3f - good; that random phone and the sirens... And now a lift fail for them! Damn, this is turning into a disaster FS for so many teams. Throw 3lo - good; BODS - ugly leg grab and not low enough to get more than a base level initially; combo spin - fine, but then they stand in place for awhile to wait for the music to catch up to where they are in the program; second lift - fine; last lift - well, they made it through that... choreo seq - eh.

They should finish no higher than 4th in the FS here. Big enough lead from the FS that they'll stay on the podium, for sure, but damn... This second group was severely underwhelming. And I stick by my prediction that at least two of the Germans, Georgians & Japanese will NOT be on the Olympic podium while both SuiHan and ConMac are.
