2025 Skate America Mens Free - Pope Dies Last

The Bad Moms Christmas movie actually started from the beginning!
And you're correct, of course, that we've returned for the medal ceremony on Peacock, so need to fire up the VPN and travel to Brazil or Liechtenstein, lol.

In all the years I've watched skating .... and that's an VERY long time .... I can't recall ever feeling quite like I do about a skater winning a GP event (with an imperfect performance at that) like I do now. It's just Kevin ... he's such a special skater/person.

LOL - did the USFS just tell their flower girls & medal bearers to wear black leggings & turtlenecks with white trainers and only spring for 2 red scarves and 2 blue scarves? Just when we thought the USFS couldn't get any more low rent than they already are with their KnC, we've got these poor girls raiding their own wardrobes for this job.

Seriously - they couldn't even get Save the Ducks or whatever their new team jacket apparel partner is to spring for some nice clothes for these girls?

Aw, he was so overcome he couldn't even finish singing along! What a tremendous achievement for Kevin in what is likely his last competitive season (I don't think he's announced anything though, so I may be very wrong about that).

Tomono just looked at his medal and they didn’t even pay to have the back finished. :yikes:

Alright so, having 5 quads saved Shaidorov's GPF situation. 3rd and 2nd means he's in. I just realized, with how messy this men's GP series has been, Grassl mght still make it.
Ilia
Shun
Mikhail

Still to go with a chance:
Yuma
Adam

Grassl beats both Britschgi and Tomono in a tie breaker and he'll beat Jason if he's 3rd at Finlandia. Selevbro Sr has 13 points but no second GP unless someone pulls out in the next day or so. So, unless Jason somehow gets 2nd or Selevko gets a last minute assignment and places 4th or higher (or 5th but then we go to tie break #2), Grassl is in. I have nothing against the kid, I just would much rather see other skaters in the GPF.

Got to admit I’m surprised and happy with the outcome because my two favorites, Jason and Kevin did well (comparatively speaking). I’m so happy for Kevin and don’t mind watching his happy tears (his sad ones are hard to take). And for those who think Jason doesn’t still have the goods - he winds up third in the free skate and fourth overall. Not bad for a quad less old guy.
