Quite a few jump issues for Dai today but some nice spins and decent footwork. I'm not a fan of the lying flat on the back at the end of the program but I guess Ilia made that a "thing" last season. Good effort for Dai. Not easy, I'm sure, to be the first skater out in front of a home audience. Both Dai and his coach look to be OK with the scores.

There was a nice lightness to his skating, but unfortunately not much speed.

The gold diaper gives a really weird visual effect in the sit spin.

Deniss' 3axels stayed back at the hotel today but everything else was pretty good. Excellent spins, as usual. Welll ... I guess I like lying on your SIDE on the ice slightly better than on your back but still .... Overall, I enjoyed that effort by Deniss.

I am confused by this program. He's dressed like James Bond or some other spy but he's skating to music from a Fast and Furious movie (Fast X). I never saw them dress like this in any of the trailers.
