Change Foot Combo Spin 3 - a lot of travelling

Very good performance for Sota, but the jumps still look very off-axis in the air, and today he put them done cleanly, but tomorrow they may not.

87.57 = 2nd Place

"Yesterday" ... my favorite Beatles song. And, Michael Bolton has an incredible voice although, that being said, I prefer the Beatles' version of the song. Anyways .... that was a very good program for Sota. Well done.

Yamamoto on fire, although a lot of ice flew up on the 4s, so I guess we'll see how the panel reviews it.

He's too good for this overwrought Michael Bolton though.

Excellent skate for Shun, and his overall presentation was good with the posture, and flow looking improved.

94.13 = 1st Place

So effortless, you can see why he does 4T so easily on the second half of a combo. The 3T just floated and the perfect landing.

I'm still kinda whatever about his "presentation" but he's long-established that he's the real deal on TES and like Malinin, the second mark doesn't become much of a matter.

These two pieces of music don't really mesh, and Mikhail would be better to pick one, and do the whole program with that rather having the awkward transition. The skating was solid, and the elements look pretty good for this time of year.

88.33 = 3rd Place

Shaidarov is improving alot on the 2nd mark though IMO. He's really working on the transitions and choreo. And his skating skills keep getting better.

OK ... I'm happy with the leaderboard so far. That was fun.

I'm off to make my bed and get more coffee before Pairs SP.
