Rest In Peace Stephen Hawking

Saw this breaking news on TV while watching the Pa elections. Professor Hawking brought science closer to ordinary people. His accomplishments are phenomenal. May he Rest In Peace.

I know considering what could have happened living such a long and full life is nothing short of extraordinary as was his mind and what he brought to science, but I'm gutted about it. May he fly with the stars in the immensity of the universe now.

R.I.P Sir Stephen Hawking. His life was an utter inspiration. Personally I think he should be accorded the same honour as Sir Isaac Newton and be buried at Westminster Abbey. My nephew is currently studying Astro Physics at university and Sir Stephen was one of his hero's.

May your spirit soar into the Universe and converse with the stars.

I saw it on the news this morning. He will always be a legend, and a wonder of wonders. Stephen left us with a world of information through his books, his work and as a Cosmologist. It's worth going to his website where his books, lectures, publications, films and videos are listed:

Stephen Hawking

RIP, Stephen. May your journey continue throughout the Cosmos. :respec:

Each time I see that picture of the glorious 'Pillars of Creation' formation out there in the deepest reaches of space far beyond our own little pathetic Milky Way Galaxy, I'll think of you, Mr. Hawking. Thank you for having taken me there on many happy occasions. Next...off to find a BLACK HOLE! :respec:

Such an astounding, accomplished, productive, inspiring and rewarding life! Thank you Stephen Hawking for all of your contributions to humanity. Your brilliance will live forever! I feel certain you are free and flying on in another dimension. Blessings to your family, your dearest friends, caring assistants, and lifelong colleagues who were always there for you. :respec:

Hawking's work should be required reading. Most of all, he's such a shining example of making the most out of what you have in the present moment.

Quoted myself as someone must have read my comment ;) as Stephen Hawkins ashes are to be interred at Westminster Abbey next to the grave of Sir Isaac Newton.

The movie about Hawking showed that he was expected to only live a few years after being diagnosed. So he sure did beat the odds. The movie also showed how loving and accepting his family was, which would have gone far in supporting his success. His wife stayed with him for a long time (he was still sexually functional :p), until Hawking encouraged her to partner with a man who was in both of their lives so that she could live life more fully.

RIP.
