Wahoo! Doctors here at the University Hospital figure we have started the long uphill climb... Urology says no more kidney infection, they took her ureter stents out, Interventional Radiology pulled her IVC filter out yesterday morning, and its time to return to our little rural hospital to get stronger while we wait to get into rehab.

As soon as the ambulance gets here, we are on the road!

There really should be a LOVE button...Party on....Hello world!!!!...does this mean you will be sleeping in your own bed? I hope so.

We got a late transfer from the University Hospital - because of her shunt, an EMT ambulance wasn't acceptable; we had to wait for an ALS Ambulance with Paremedic to become available. Long drive, we got here at about 11:00pm. Poor ambulance crew then had to return to Edmonton.

We got her settled, vitals taken and paperwork completed, and then I went home for the night.

This morning, Lee was settled nicely into her room, her doctor and nurses are glad to see her back, speech pathologist and dietician already stopped by to see her, and the Physio team was going to get to her this afternoon.

Best of all, I slept in my own bed last night!

Thanks for the support and for holding her in your thoughts and prayers. Hopefully, it's all uphill from here.
