It's amazing how Stephen found some consistency this year, with great results! And his guest stint with Stars on Ice can only help his presentation and audience connection.

Working with B E N O I T and finally being un-injured for a good period of time has seriously worked wonders for Stephen.

It will be interesting to see what Gogolev decides to do with university next year, after the references to his challenges working around Olympics and Worlds (and inability to do the full CSOI) this year. Education is obviously a priority for him, but he'll also want to build on his current success, and take advantage of the extra opportunities he'll be getting, so I'd expect a reduced course load.

(a very different case, but I remember how Jeff Buttle started out studying chemical engineering at UofT - until he unexpectedly medalled at NHK and his skating career took off).

So I was looking up past Worlds results, and unless I missed something, Stephen's 4th place is the best ever debut Worlds result for a Canadian man. No other one has placed higher in their first Worlds appearance.

From his IG, Anthony Paradis has been dealing with a stress fractures on both sides of a lower back vertebrae (ouch!)

He is scheduled to return to full training in mid-July.

Glad that he’s taking the time to make sure he comes back healthy.
