The ice dance selection looks a bit ?? (but it probably makes sense checking the SBs and world standings?)
For example Fournier-Beaudry/Sorensen and Parsons with only one GP, no Hurtado/Khaliavin or Min/Gamelin, but two spots e.g. to Pogrebinsky/Benoit and Abachkina/Thauron, one for Kuzmichova/Sinicyn.
I guess the TBD Skate America should go to the Parsons.
I thought Adelina Sotnikova was coming back next year? Coached by Plushenko? Or was I making that up?

She broke it last year and they missed the entire season, she's (semi)healthy now and was surprised they did not get assigned and wondered if this is the math they did, they will go to Nebelhorn Trophy I believe.Bad news everyone. There's a reason Coomes & Buckland didn't get any events: https://twitter.com/PennyCoomes/status/868190252430753792
That means no Nebelhorn Trophy either, and probably no Olympic berth, even if they're healthy by then.
Also, what qualified Farris to get that assignment? Dont get me wrong, Im pleased as punch but didn't expect him on the grid.
I was a little surprised Max got 2.
Ah. So it was as I first thought and this is a classic case of big country feds being too chickenshit coward assholes to pick up a little country team that might beat theirs. Back to angry now.
11th at 2015 Worlds under the Comeback Skater clauses.
Why? He's WS13 and SB22.
6 men who were not at 2017 Worlds were top 24 in both SB & WS and they all received 2 GPs each: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/index.php?threads/2017-isu-grand-prix.100697/page-3#post-5069580Aren't there a lot of skaters [such as Aaron] kind of in that bracket?
Have we considered the possibility that A/W decided to stay junior on the Grand Prix and didn't actually submit for senior Grand Prix? AFAIK, they never stated publicly that they were going for senior GP--just Nebelhorn. Duskova/Bidar were in the same position last year and chose to stay on the junior GP.
Congratulations to you and PRGentleman! I LOVE your marriage contract! And PRgentleman. I'll be married by then and accompanying me to at least one skating event is in the marriage contract.
Let the TBD speculations begin!
*Note* in recent two days there a lot of people texted me and congratulating me about next season (as they see my name on the GP list). To clarify : as my federation did put me on the list, is far to the final decision to be on the next season. There many circumstances and difficulties need to be seeing and think to finalize everything. #ThankYou

That's the plan (like every year) but as of now, she is injured (ankle) and Plushenko says the main goal is recover and then test skates in September.
It's looking like Grenoble is going to be my choice. However, NHK lineup is great and I'm seeing deals on expedia between $1200 to $1600(hotel/air w/taxes and fees) for 4 nights in Osaka.
However, I know getting nhk tickets will be virtually impossible.
So Coco and JKL... I would welcome company in Grenoble
Will I need to "travel afar" if I ever hope to meet you?
This is true for me, as well.If they would put SKAM in a reachable place I'd be more likely to get there
I don't think so. Eventually we will live binationally but that might not be til we retire. If they would put SKAM in a reachable place I'd be more likely to get there on a US trip! (Grumble.)
And @topaz if we are both in Grenoble, you know I'm gonna put a small Sephora order in with you before you leave
I've started a thread for people who are thinking about / planning to make the trek to Grenoble in November : https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/in...nce-formerly-known-as-teb-in-grenoble.101326/Looking at Grenoble also. When do tickets go on sale?
