And, now I have managed to see all of the Men's SP. I have no idea how I'll ever catch up with all of this competition before Cup of China. Guess I'll just have to just start picking and choosing a few of the Free Skates in each discipline. In the men's SP, I really enjoyed Pitot (new to me) and Tsuboi in the first group. I'm not sure how Miura finished ahead of Tsuboi in the SP but that's fs judging for you. In the 2nd group, I thought Nika Egadze was wonderful. Yes, he can work on his PCS quite a bit but his technique on jumps was great to see ... and kudos for the "nerves of steel." I can't decide what to think of Siao Him Fa ... watched his program twice and decided that I agreed with whoever said that, if you want to wear that costume and be that "artsy" (my word) you have to skate the program clean. Otherwise, it doesn't really work. His skating is "frantic" but I think I could really love this program IF he ever skated it perfectly clean. As for Ilia ... I mean, what is left to say about him? I'm starting to think he might be from another planet. That 3A out of those back rollovers blew me away. I thought his 4lz was clean too and, like Chris, was surprised he got level 3 on the footwork sequence. Maybe the judges just want to leave room somewhere to give him higher marks later on in the season.
