In person, Sakamoto’s program seemed emptier and sloppier than Nakai’s. Nakai moved and expressed very well once you get past the little girl music.
Many people who watched on tv have told me they thought Sakamoto should have won, even that she was robbed.
In person, even without the benefit of the scoring tracker, our row was unanimous that Nakai won. Bigly. Maybe her speed and ease of movement don’t translate as well on tv.
