So, Ilia's planned SP content is 4F, 3A, 4Lz+3T - but someone on X noted that the rink placement of the 4A+3T he did at this morning's practice is exactly the same as the 4F placement in the SP...

Ugh I love mens skating. The fields are always stacked with such good skaters. In every group. In every competition.

Selevko is repeating his short and it was probably my favorite program last year. So good.

Weird kinda damper effect on those first notes. Sounds like the music is screwing up. The music itself is one of those 'make everyone look artistic' pieces

One thing about Max in person is that almost all of his jumps land with such a loud thud like it's on the flat of the blade, and then there's not really flow out although this 3A was a good one. 3Lz and 3T were back to the same old I just mentioned.

All in all not bad. I was more into the construction and effort of this than any of his programs the last few seasons.

Gorgeous camel spin positions from Naumov. Only a 3S and a little flip out of the combo but better than the warmup. Nice program for him. I don’t remember him being this elegant. And it goes without saying but I have no idea how he’s competing at this level at all.

I'm sure this must be one of the difficult competitive skates of Maxim's career, but this kind of skate is not what he needs in the Olympic season.

Well, it's a lovely program, but that tech's not going to get Max a spot on the Olympic team.

Love this music, but just a 3S and the fallout on the toe of the combo isn't going to keep Maxim in good stead.

The 3A was sublime though.
