I just always remember her very upright posture and since she shares that with her sister Christie I'm thinking mama was responsible for that, especially since Christie has the regal posture but always taked a bit like a "truck driver".

Jean Senft!! Poor woman who was punished by the ISU for reporting attempted placement fixing by the judges because she recorded another judge telling what order to place all the big names. They used that as evidence of HER collusion.

Surya's skating indeed improve immensely over the years, in all aspects, but she's totally charming here, bouncing around. The computer music of 80ies early 90ies is all I need on a Sunday afternoon

The more I watch this and compare to today's ladies the sadder it makes me. When did figure skating become so hostile to women. These ladies look incredible. I love seeing very athletic and healthy muscle on them.

I keep hoping I’ll run into Surya at the Alliance Francaise, but even though every one of my French teachers brings her up when I say I’m into figure skating, apparently none of them have met her.
