I read it. Not much new information, but it's always interesting to hear him talk. Apparently he and Trankov have bought a pub together. I don't think he will return to competition, but part of me just keeps hoping

Is Stolbova serious about her comeback? Are they training and working out his eligibility to skate for Russia? Haven't heard anything since the announcement at the test skates.

Still working on it! It's going to be a hard fight getting the guy released from Didier, and I'm not sure if that's even going to happen. I would sell my limbs to make this happen, but I don't know if it's realistically going to work. Ksenia seems really set on coming back (I don't blame her after what happened with the Olympics); however, I'm not sure if this partner will work for her.

I'm hoping this doesn't end like Sotnikova...

This is what i read on several Russian chats:
- that Alena Kostornaia does not have any fractures/breaks. She had such injuries few years ago (before coming to Sambo) but they healed. What she has now (or "had for a bit now") is "fibula/tibia and tendons" issues, due to "growth of her body proportions".
- The talks "i heard Alina is injured" are supposedly should have been "Alena has issues".
- There are also mentions that "Alena and the Federation wanted her to go to JWC, and Eteri decided that she will not at the last minute".
- Kostornaya will have 2 spots for next GP events, as she is a GPF winner.

What a lovely skater with great edges and sound technique. I really enjoy Panova's work with the young girls.

Same. Sinitsina really surprised me at Junior nationals. Her technique and basics were excellent and she was lovely to watch. I think Panova is doing a great job and I think the team consistently packages their skaters well.

Lets be honest, she was never more than filler and a stopgap. She was lucky Anna P retired early, otherwise she never even makes the Olympic team.

I hate the fact that Anna P retired early more than anything else in ladies' skating in general.

I hate how badly she was underscored, especialy when she started getting more consistent in 2016 and 2017 and the judges still kept dumping her with low GOE for huge beautiful jumps and low PCS.

ITA. And they have true toe jumps and clear outside edges on their lutzes. Great job!

She did not officially retire, yet. But she stated two serious issues, which clearly prevent her from competing on top level.
- she quit Tsareva at the end of last season, her long time coach, and for-proforma assigned herself to Victoria Volchkova's group/rink, but has not trained there except for few exhibition numbers.
- she has a permanent back problem, which requires her from now on to be "under constant doctor's observation", as she said herself this past summer in an interview.
Pogorilaya will be working (skating) under doctors' observation until the end of her carrier.
(she was hopping to return to competition, but it never happened).

Sotskova and Konstantinova isn't exactly the most riveting team ever.

The Universade Ladies list (of nominated and the alts) was changed couple of times. Both names, Med and Tuk, were removed from the final list. But there were talks that she may be sent anyway.

Tuk is skating in the Moskvina/Mishin Show next week, so maybe that's one of the reasons she may have declined.
