DWTS Season 22 3-21-2016

It's time to close last seasons thread and look forward to this seasons competitors. The cast will be announced on Good Morning America on March 7. The new season begins on March 21. Anyone hear of "stars" that will be on? The only name I have heard is Jodie Sweetin. As I understand it she was going to be on last season but signed onto Fuller House instead. She has been on all the talk shows discussing Fuller House.

Anyone else have a clue to a Contestant?

I just did a quick google search and it doesn't look like there's anything terribly concrete. A few that I saw mentioned a couple of times include Bindi Irwin's younger brother, the current Bachelor, a few NFL players, and Rhea Perlman.

Nyle is quite the looker, to my taste anyway. BTW, he's deaf.

I just googled Nyle. He really is some mighty fine eye candy. The article stated he will compete with Peta Murgatroyd. He will be the first deaf contestant since Marlee Matlin.

On this morning's GMA Jodie Sweetin was announced as a celeb dancer. She will be partnered by Keo. She has had lots of dance experience.
Also Robert Herjavic and Kym Johnson were on to announce their engagement. He gave her a 6 carat diamond ring. He also flew her mother in from Australia to attend a surprise engagement party. They looked very happy.

I just read on Entertainment Tonight's website that Edyta Sliwinska will be returning as a Pro. She took some time off and now has a two year old son.

I hope that's true!! She was one of my favorites and I felt bad when she left because she and her partner were voted off super early in her final season.

According to ET, apparently Mischa Barton is on the show this year, paired with Artem. Ginger Zee (I've never heard of her) is apparently with Val. Same article lists Facts of Life's Kim Fields as a star as well.

She has performed in a musical on Broadway, so we know she can do live entertainment, and has had some dance experience.

Ginger Zee and Val were announced officially on GMA. She will continue doing weather for GMA and the two will fly back and forth to CA from New York. Val says he loves NY and is thrilled to be there.

I think they're based out of there, as far as Val and Maks still studio-teach, and they lived out east for a long time, so he's probably happier about that than most of the "commuter" contestants!

And her schedule works fine, unlike those with rehearsals or tapings during the day. Unless there's a major weather story, she's done by 9.

I don't know about Ginger's dance experience, but her husband iBen Aaron is quite the dancer.

But of course he trained with a guru master.

Two more rumors. Kim Fields with Sasha Farber and former NFL Quarterback Doug Flutie with Karina Smirnoff. Until Tuesday on GMA...

Flutie might be quite good. He's got a quick wit and probably can stay fairly calm given his experience with his autistic son. He's a little on the short side, though. His NFL bio used to say he was 5'9". I met him once at the Hampshire House and I was staring at the top of his head. I'm 5'8" and probably had 2" heels on.
