Cute Zoo Pics Part 7

Now that we know that the #RescueCub and #SumatranCub are doing well at the SD Zoo Safari Park (look how BIG they already are!), they have just received a baby cheetah cub from Texas!

Here are the details of the cheetah’s story. There were five siblings in the litter and she wasn’t getting any nursing time and gaining weight. She weighs four pounds now, so I can’t imagine how little she was when she arrived in San Diego. :( But she’s now getting plenty of formula and is even eating some meat now. :)

The SD Zoo Safari Park’s Instagram just started a story on the baby cheetah playing in the nursery. Precious! But hurry! - I think you can only see it for 24 hours.

Meanwhile in DC, the two turkeys who will be receiving the traditional Presidential pardon have arrived.

I normally don’t care about this because I think it’s stupid, but for some peculiar reason, I now want to see this pardoning ceremony live. ;)

The turkeys are Wishbone and Drumstick and you can go vote on The White House’s Instagram story to pick the turkey for the ceremony. After the ceremony, Wishbone and Drumstick will go to Virginia Tech for their “Gobblers Rest” exhibit. Tater and Tot, the two turkeys from 2016, are currently residing there.
 
I saw on FB yesterday that the turkeys that Obama pardoned have had their sentences re-established by Pres Trump & they are now on death row.

Shame on me for laughing at this. ;)
But Wishbone and Drumstick that the Pardoner-In-Chief is considering had better beware. We know how he changes his mind on a whim and a tweet or maybe (in this case) a gobble.
 
I always wondered why Sasha would join me to perform her lovely spiral (hind legs) when I would bend down to start my nightly exercise routine. Thirteen years later and she's still doing it. She's probably in better shape than I am. :D
