Fact #3 was the one that was really interesting to me. New research says the white in a Tuxedo is because of a broken gene that slows down the reproduction of pigment cells. That means there isn't enough color to cover a whole cat so the rest of it ends up without pigmentation.

Today when I took the dog outside there was a medium-sized bird on the fence with a shiny black body & a chocolate brown head. Google tells me it's a Cowbird. I've never seen one before. Google tells me it's not usually seen in Texas.
