And obviously someone thinks lifting women in pairs and ice dance is the same thing…Obviously someone cannot do Maths correctly
Jin is in Toronto training with Orser.Well, I don't think it's unreasonable to think that some of the China-based skaters in singles & ice dance could be sent to Denis Ten Memorial. It's a heck of a lot closer to fly to Astana than anywhere in Europe.
What is being said is that there’s no way in hell Han bench presses 265 pounds. No way. And you suggested he would have to lift even more than that. And obviously someone thinks lifting women in pairs and ice dance is the same thing…
Which is whence the caveperson stereotype comes into picture I imagine.Anyone with any familiarity in the gym is probably laughing quite a bit at the thought of this
I have no idea what you ramble on about most of the time; here is no different.Which is whence the caveperson stereotype comes into picture I imagine.![]()
Can you have Physics without Mathematics???????Why is it about mathematics. It's physics. Pairs men are not lifting point-size objects, and they're not lifting rigid bodies, so it makes perfect sense they'd need to possess the ability to lift far greater weights than their partners' weights on ground.
If someone believes Li can lift Sui Wenjing while skating with any speed, let alone lift her, throw her, and do a bunch of other pairs moves, then more power to that person.
So we are still going with Han bench pressing 265 pounds— or better yet— more? Okay then.Yes, whenever my teachers asked me a question about blackholes, I just said "1+1=2". It just makes perfect sense.
Sorry that someone responded to "I’m not sure what a 90kg bench press (which is quite a lot for figure skaters— and in general) is going to show, seeing how the women he’s lifting are not 200 pounds." with a direct quote from an Olympic gold medalist pairs man and also answers that include how weight when we're talking about people and movement can be radically different.
Yes, because everyone concerned with fitness is so stupid.I'm sure the grunting neanderthals of one's local gym know better, with their lifelong achievements of figuring out the best protein shakes, the best lighting for selfies to make it look like they've accomplished something with their day, and making stupid comments about figure skating on forums while telling themselves no one likes them because their bs resides on such a high plane of logical thinking that it's extremely hard to rebut.
Technically they're a good enough team, but they have a lot to work on to be an interesting team choreographically & artistically. And Zhang/Huang have gone and won. I know he's unpopular among Chinese fans, and also there's criticism about the age rule change, but good to see, and they really are a good team.
Well, as long as she's not miserable, anyway...
Congrats to them but I still maintain that 23 year olds shouldn't be in juniors...I mean, it's a junior team.
I can see you S/H onlys will be happy with themCan't wait for the REAL junior babies (Zhang/Feng) to make their debut next week
Evidence...?So the latest rumor is Peng/Wang has split?![]()
The Announcement is not out yet, so I don't know the specifics for this year. But if they get the number of foreign skaters right and invite enough international officials, it should count. The Shanghai Trophy 2023 scores count towards minimum TES (on ISU official Combined Total Elements Scores lists, they are currently used for Tennell, Petrokina, Wang/Liu and Zhang/Yang)I think they'll show up at Shanghai Trophy, if it's happening. It'll likely be Jin, Peng/Wang, An, and whoever the top ranked senior ID team is supposed to be (and maybe the rank 2s for each field).
A pity that it doesn't count for tech mins, AFAIK, which An and the top ranked ID team will lack. Fingers crossed you're right, but I doubt it, and the fed can pretend it gave an opportunity to its skaters by inviting them to this fluff event, while expending minimum travel/lodging costs.
Let's see if it even happens, although many people both on twitter and weibo seem convinced it is.The Announcement is not out yet, so I don't know the specifics for this year. If it counts for TES mins, I guess the CFed can cheap out with even less criticism than otherwise could be made towards it.
Yep, linked it before. I know this one does. There is also Asian Open Trophy to be held in Hong Kong next week. It counts for minimum TES too
He was lovely, very Han Yan. No quad, but what he did was gorgeous.Oh! Oh! David scored 81 in the Asian Open SP!!
