I gather that Sui/Han withdrew before the FS? If so, did they or their coaches cite a reason? They seemed ok in the SP.

From Pyeongchang's regret to picking silver, to the return of the Harbin National Championships, Yan Wenjing and Han Cong have gone through a long 325 days.
Behind the 78.27 points [SP]: only 6 times in two weeks, the skill is restored to 80%.
...
"I am very happy, because the two weeks are too short for us." Yan Wenjing put on the face of makeup, and the light flashed. The hot sweat on Han Cong’s forehead is still big and big even if he walks into the mixed-use area of the cold wind. Returning to the long-lost stadium, the excitement of the "onion bucket" is beyond words.
(Sui joked that she only gained 10 pounds after surgery this time, compared to 20 pounds previously.)Yan Wenjing/Han Cong’s short program was only rehearsed six times, and the two were somewhat dissatisfied with the performance of the set.
Teacher Zhao Hongbo commented on their first show status - 80%. The skill recovery is 80%. Both of them are also somewhat dissatisfied with the performance of this set of actions.
"Two weeks ago, we have almost started from scratch. Only a single ability and combination ability have been restored. The whole movement has not reached the highest level, such as throwing, turning, lifting a single jump, etc., and some small mistakes. The show is on the court and the overall feeling is that everyone is quite strong."
They will start their international season at 4CC.This year, the national flower slip [figure skating] team moved to Shougang training, Han Cong said frankly that the overall treatment of all aspects of protection is what they did not expect: did not enjoy such a good ice rink, such a good temperature, such a good accommodation, and even so good The talents, including team doctors and physicalists, including specialist doctors and teachers for blood tests, are particularly strong in team security, "to catch up with the good times of association reform."
Sui Wenjing and Han Cong are grateful for everything they have. But Han Cong’s pursuit does not stop there.
“I feel that I can pursue my own flowering career again. This year we have made great changes, for example, from developing a training plan to discussing with the coach how to implement the plan, then to the self-training mode, and redefining the tactical arrangements. Wait, these we also have our own systematic considerations. This has played a very good role in the growth of our two."
Well, they do have 2.5 months. That’s plenty of time to polish the program.watched Sui/Han's SP. they are still high quality skaters, but that SP needs work if they plan to skate at Worlds.

@binbinwinwin or anyone else know if An will turn 13 before or after July 1, 2019?

Is Yi Christy Leung now competing for CHN or HKG? Or can she do Chinese Nationals while still representing HKG?
That's quite the assumption and a quite xenophobic of you, you should be better than this. Her mother posted her birthday online long time ago and posted her cake and party from her 12th party at the rink right before she came to Harbin for Nationals. It has been known for years (probably since like 2015 when she was selected for the gala at CoC) that she would be too young for 2022. The Chinese federation doesn't manage her either because her parents rejected her joining a long time ago.
Considering past actions of the Chinese when it comes to “aging”athletes to meet their desire for medals I think it is a valid concern.
It might have been a concern but that doesnt mean eeryone is in the same boat.Considering past actions of the Chinese when it comes to “aging”athletes to meet their desire for medals I think it is a valid concern.

Yan Han is coming back next season according to Jian Tong, he has recovered quite well and is jumping the 3A again. In 2019 he will go to USA to get a new SP/FS (finally no Lori!) and he will start with some domestic competitions next season. Source
Have they announced the teams yet? Some Youtube comment was saying they were prioritising Yu/Zhang over Peng/Jin for Worlds (as only 2 spots this year), which makes meif true.
@barbarafan thank you for your apology

I think you're referring to Wang and Wang? http://www.isuresults.com/bios/isufs00014338.htmThat's odd, I saw others saying that Yu & Zhang aren't even being considered for international events?

They haven't competed internationally since the fall of 2016 so they don't have the minimums needed for 4CC and won't have the chance to compete in Anaheim.![]()
Oh okay. With the Chinese skaters it seems like we often have to rely on social media hearsay for any tidbits of info...one said that sui said about yu and zhang on her weibo.
Since Yu/Zhang have not competed their FS yet (and their SP at Nationals was just a test skate) they are well behind in their season prep. compared to Peng/Jin. Let's first see if Y/Z show up at 4CC.Perhaps P&J and Y&Z can battle it out at 4CCs?
