2026 Europeans - Pairs Short Program - "The Full Moonie"

Oh for Pete's sake ..... hubby went out to run an errand and OF COURSE the 4 new tires he ordered arrived at the door while he's gone .... requiring me to get up from my comfy set-up and go answer the door. Watching skating uninterrupted is a CHALLENGE. We fans are a special breed indeed.

Then I have to decide if I have the mental capacity for 38 short programs.
Good luck with that. I'm only doing last 4 groups. I can't imagine being a judge and trying to sort out 38 skaters although I believe, at one time, it used to be even more ... like even 50!

G/A
sbs 2axel, he steps out
3twist, nice
throw 3 lutz, she landed but then could not hold on to it and fell :sad:

well, at least they will be able to compete in the Olympics with B/G injured and that will have been the goal

Now CC is trying to interpret Italian. Badly.

The judges are calling that twist a level 4? Seriously? So are the Georgians and Germans going to get a level 5 or 6?

GhiAmbro - SBS 2a - step out for him; 3tw - okay; lift - decent; throw 3z - hand down and then she fell; BODS - fine; SBS spins - very close, unison is so-so; step seq - eh. I'd have this below GunZza and possibly also the Poles.

With Conti/Macii not here this was an opportunity for this team to push for the podium, and they completed missed the chance with this performance

-1.00 = Falls
59.40 = 4th Place

I made the decision to work from home today so that I didn't have to drive into the office during either of these last two groups and looking out the window at the foggy morning, I'm feeling like this was the correct decision. I'll have the Women's SP on in the background while I do whatever work is available in our queue for me to do.

Hmph - that is a super-generous PCS for GhiAmbro that keeps them ahead of Les Kovs and I'm giving the judges a big side-eye from all the way over here on the West Coast!

Very strong across all the elements today, and continuing to demonstrate their improved presentation, and skating skills.

73.32 = 1st Place

PavSvia - 3tw - gorgeous; throw 3f - beautiful; SBS 3t - excellent; lift - nice; BODS - also nice; step seq - finally, a team that isn't moving like molasses over the ice; SBS spins - unison isn't quite perfect; but give them a 70+ score for that!
