2026 European Championships - Rhythm Dance - "No Steps Please, We're Shittish"

Really, really well skated. Just a little irritating how tight she gets in the difficult midline steps and in the second twizzles. She tightens up completely and he just casually skates through them still keeping character.

But I've said it all season- they've amped up the difficulty a lot this year in between the elements in both programs and they should be getting rewarded for it. She's better than two of the other women in this final group, as much as people try to push otherwise she really comes out and gets through everything almost every time.

Rotational Lift 4

As expected, a big reaction from the crowd to the home country favourites skating to iconic British music. Strong performance, and they held their nerve through the elements.

85.47 = 2nd Place

Thanks. I don't know dance technique much but I felt she had improved after comparisons to prior years. She always did start out more hesitant then he was but made visible improvement by end of season. You can tell she really works hard at it. Even I can see it.

Marco cannot get through the twizzles. Hideous tight desperate final set. Midline was good. No identity in this program sadly and the choreography doesn't make a lot of sense.

That said, I still think it was highly suspicious that the IAM-skater judges all seemed to uniformly decide on a sudden 1.00+ PCS drop, especially in skating skills, in France so I'll be eagerly awaiting the individual scores here to see if it's again the IAM judges dropping them big-time there.

Marco's twizzles continue to be a source of weakness for this team. Overall it was a strong performance, but they are not as sharp as a couple seasons ago, and the music does not do them any favours.

84.48 = 3rd Place
