Well, I'm sure most of my musical tastes aren't keeping with Shawn Rettstatt's but where's the Riot Grrrl music, PJ Harvey, the Cranberries, any of the Lilith Fair acts, Nine Inch Nails, REM, U2, the non Nirvana grunge bands, Goth bands? I could go on. And now a team is skating to Personal Jesus (excellent) but aren't they going to get a music violation?

Unfortunately in this season the music choice of Depeche Mode is among the more avant-garde selections we will get. A bit sloppy in the footwork of the pattern dance, and the twizzles, and I wish Daniel wasn't smiling quite so much during the performance.

I really have an issue with this slipping by the cracks all season and no one saying shit, but there was a big drama over a (supposedly going to be) top team using it that the rules had to be explored for .01 seconds to apply them selectively.

This sport and the way it's managed is so ridiculous. If the music isn't allowed, it's not allowed. When it's scanned into the system, clarify it and either accept all instances or deny all instances.

With all the 2010s and 2020s remixes of the songs being used and the AI use of songs, there really should just be a generalization of use whatever the fcuk you want as long as it sounds 90s dance party. But even then, most of the choices ain't no dance party.

Where were you in October? Personal Jesus is August 1989, while the album itself is 1990, to which a select few posters went on a whole "tHey ShoUlD haVe KnoWN thE RuLes" but now very clearly the rules don't matter, and no deductions.

I vote to scrap the decades nonsense and go back to a definition based on rhythm rather than something "more entertaining for the audience".
