Mark said the Choreo Adj Jump is now fine in the system, so they should have enough to win, even if that program was a complete snooze.

Despite the horrendous music choices, the top 3 were all excellent with T/Laf having the vibes of top 5 at seniors already. They are not quite as amazing as Papadskis/Cizeron as juniors, but I'd say that is mostly because she's the clear star here, while Guillaume was the leader of P/C. And it is more useful to have a star boy.

Tali/Lafornara doing a nice job with "Love Story." But, for me, this music will always belong to Sale/Pelletier. And who among us, who saw that Oly. pairs competition, could ever forget the performances and the scandal that followed?

I’m ready to uber Tali and Lafornara. Not my absolute favorite program, but beautifully matched, beautiful skating, and fantastic execution with STAR QUALITY. I’d have them first by a mile. They already look like a top 10 team in the world to me. I’d put them ahead of Gilles and Poirier and Lopareva and Brissaud.
Gonna be hard to convince the Italian Fed that they won’t be ready for the Olys at home.

I cannot get over the change in T/L. Last season they were disaster-prone; now they can't put a foot wrong. I would love to know how they fixed the problem!
Tali/Lafornara were brand new last season and didn't even compete on the JGP.

And now we have a nice 1 1/2 hour break. Going to get a few things done (hopefully) seeing as I've been doing precious little except watching figure skating the last couple of days.

No offense, but "Orchid" was the better program and SalPel should have kept it for the Olympics - if they'd done so, I don't think there would have been any opportunity for BereSikh to win.

They skated at one JGP and won Bronze.

No, they had one JGP last season and medaled at it. But I agree, I think last season’s inconsistencies were about getting used to each other as partners. Once they became more comfortable and experienced together, they’ve been fine.

Faiella & Milo won this event the first time it was held back in 1997, the only prior instance of an Italian team winning the JGP dance final. This is the first Italian medal of any colour since Cappellini & Lanotte's bronze in 2005.

I've said a number of times in recent years that the Italian dance pipeline has been inexplicably non-productive for over a decade, but we may finally be seeing a genuine contender emerging. And just in time, too, given that Guignard & Fabbri are almost on their way out the door.

A phone zipped into your pant leg for that selfie - talk about being prepared 😆

The coloured schedule calls for the Sr Women and then the Jr Men for the victory ceremonies after this one.

No offense taken. I never said "Love Story" was Sale/Pelletier's best program ever. I'm just saying that, given the huge judging scandal that followed the Oly performances that had everybody (even non-skating fans) talking about it, every time skaters use "Love Story," it reminds me of Sal/Pel.
