The Cutting Edge pair, controlled lift, fall on throw, some of the spin was in sync, very nice death spiral ending on a strong point

Jazmine is thinking about the fall at the end but, overall, that was an excellent skate for them. Level 4 twist, clean double axels, beautiful lift. Lots to be happy about there. Well done.

..Typical Canadian pair man basics issues, but this team looks senior ready to an infinite level compared to the rest of the teams thus forth.

Zhang/Huang are, quite literally, China's only chance at getting a pairs spot at the Olympic Qualifying Event next season when they're age-eligible - and they might very well nab one of those spots. There are a bunch of senior teams that better be looking over their backs, paying attention to these two teams coming up on their heels.

That lift was better than a lot of the senior pairs. Nice team. Program isn't as wildly mismatched as what Boyang Jin gets, but still an interesting choice.

Coach Yang Ding (with partner Zhongfei Ren) was among the first teams trying throw 4T back in the day.

Kieran was a AAA hockey player for most of his life and decided during the pandemic to take pairs and skating more seriously. The transition from hockey to full time figure skating with a partner was one of their most challenging steps to overcome. Keiran is originally from Windsor, Ontario.

There's a teensy bit of hope the CFSA will allow them to stay together next season, just for a chance at an Olympic spot.
