2019 Oscars Red Carpet & Ceremony - All Awards Lead To Roma

Just goes to show how much you Hate BR. You won’t give it a single award.

For cinematography I was picking Roma earlier but after seeing ‘Never look away’ I thought it was very deserving too.

Bao was my choice too in the animated short.

Live action short - All were so tragic (except one). All deserving. ‘Skin’ or ‘Fauve’ May win. Both were horrifying at the end.

And there's nothing wrong with that. Bohemian Rhapsody to me deserved zero nominations. Just my opinion. I found it be one of the year's most overhyped and mediocre films that failed to make Queen interesting to me with weird dialogue and basic acting throughout.

Well we had a string of years where no one wore anything controversial. It actually got boring. But there are a few wtf dresses this year.

The opening was great! My only criticism is that it was too short. That's funny because I thought the concert scene in the movie was too long for a movie.
I thought Queen should have played longer too, esp given all the promotion. :p I'm kind of surprised they didn't perform Bohemian Rhapsody, but I guess it's a hard song to sing (if you're not Freddie Mercury).

I was really hoping for Minding the Gap. I felt it was the most relevant documentary among the group that I've seen and spoke about a part of America we don't see spoken about often. I can't say I really cared about Free Solo's subject matter.

Free Solo has amazing photography but I was rooting for RBG to win. I just find adventure stories pointless. It is about soneone’s Ego, and I don’t mean just this film.

That's sort of how I felt too. Like I was like impressed but also like "who cares?"

Adam Lambert definitely can sing Bohemian Rhapsody. He sings it in concert with Queen. But, they probably chose what is most familiar to the audience in general, not just people who saw the movie or are Queen fans. And, really, it's not like BR is a major focus of the movie.

I'm pretending I'm in Australia right now so I can watch the Oscars because CTV doesn't have livestreaming without an a cable provider.
That's what we ended up doing too :D

Came in to the most awkward acceptance speech ever and the Oscars website is full of red carpet crap and no easy to find results page

I must see Minding the gap. I like movies about something relevant to society.

IMDb is usually pretty good for it's results page. That's what I use when I can't actually watch the awards show.

Tom Morello in a tux presenting an Oscar introducing a best picture nom? woah

I have set my PVR to watch later and skip the ads and songs. I can usually get the Oscars down to about 2 1/2 hours when I do that.

Have seen some of the Red Carpets. Lots of stand outs and not in a good way.

What did they play? Stuck at work.

Is this seriously Melissa McCarthy's dress or is she just wearing this to present this award?
