2017 Fall-Spring TV New/Returning Shows

I don't know if anyone caught the latest episode of Will & Grace with Nick Offerman. One of the funniest things I have seen in a while. Nick was hilarious but also really hot. Couldn't stop laughing.

The CW announced it's midseason premieres lineup: http://deadline.com/2018/01/the-cw-...dates-dynasty-moves-to-friday-tca-1202237339/
I'm a little  that the 100 doesn't come back until nearly the end of April, but I'm looking forward to it all the same. Everything I've heard about season 5 sounds like it's going to be insane and nerve-wracking...and I've found that's the kind of show I enjoy most (((my stress levels)))

Also REALLY excited about The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix!! They just announced Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina, and she was brilliant on Mad Men, so I'm definitely looking forward to this one. The comics the show will be based on are weird and kind of creepy, but totally fascinating at the same time. I can't wait for this one. http://ew.com/tv/2018/01/05/netflix...l&xid=entertainment-weekly_socialflow_twitter

I don't know where all to put this for maximum coverage, but when I was watching The Middle last night, I saw a commercial for "Truth and Lies: The Tonya Harding Story" on ABC Thursday (tomorrow, 1/11). It's current, because the description mentions asking her what she thinks about "I, Tonya". DVR is set.

So finally watched the first episode of 9-1-1 and am in agreement with several others. I will give it another go for sure as the characters seem very interesting and so far enough of it is about their actual jobs and not so much soap about their private lives that the action becomes secondary. Too many newer shows are leaning that way these days. As a side note, Krause looked so much better than he did during the run his last show where he was really showing his age and then some and didn't to me fit the part of the irresistible lady charmer. I think he has perhaps gained some weight so he looks less guant, but maybe he has had some work done - hope not.

Sorry forgot to post this earlier - 2 new shows debut tonight on CBC (Canada)
Burden of Truth - CBC original series starring Kristin Kreuk and Peter Mooney, (filmed right here in Winterpeg), about a big city lawyer who returns to her home town.

The Detectives - Some of the ads have made this look like a crime drama while others make it look more like a true crime show - I will have to see. The cable guide just calls it "Crime" while Burden of Truth got the label "Drama"
Edited to add: The Detectives turns out to be True Crime with extensive re-enactments of both the crime and the detectives interspersed with the real-life detective on screen talking and providing narrative. Tonight the title Detective was played by John Pyper-Ferguson who I recognize, particularly for his role as Tex in The Last Ship series. In the opening it showed the faces of a number of actors I recognize from various series so the idea would be they will be re-enacting the lead detective in upcoming episodes.

Other "new" CBC dramas are upcoming.
Thursday Jan 11 - The Secret - looks like originally broadcast in 2016, probably in Britain as it stars an actor I recognize from the British show called Cold Feet but this show is new to Canada.
Monday Feb 26 - Caught - original CBC show starring Alan Hawco - ads looked interesting.

If you got through tonight's This Is Us without bawling, I envy you. I just now started calming down from the incoherent sobbing I was doing at the end of this ep. I now need to go check my kitchen and make sure things are all right (after you watch the ep, you'll understand the paranoia....). :yikes: :fragile: :wuzrobbed

WHEN IS THE STOOPPID SUPER BOWL?!?!?!

February 4th. Not too far away so hang in there! I feel like this will give me time to prepare and make sure I have my wine, two boxes of Kleenex, and chocolate ready for that episode, LOL  :fragile: :wuzrobbed

Does anyone know when the new season of Better Call Saul starts? I know new episodes are coming, but I can't find out when.

Not until "this summer". I've been watching the Breaking Bad marathon every weekend and commercials all just say "this summer". I think they just started filming. Long wait. And they better do a marathon before it starts again! :D

Although I'll never find the article again, I remember reading something where Vince said they kinda wrote themselves into a corner and it took them longer to figure out how to get the story out and that is why its not ready for February.

This Is Us ..... why u still usin' a 19 year old crock pot (dude said it was only 2 years old when he gave it to them)? That you know is faulty? And you don't pull the plug outta the wall? :p I'm guessing Kate says its "her fault" because they all get outta the fire and Kate goes "the dog the dog!" and Jack runs back in while we see the dog running out the other side. Or I could be wrong. :P

There was even a message at the end to set extra time on your DVR in case football runs over. I did.

I don't follow the show on FB, but I just went to check the comments. People are "joking" about taking that Monday off (just like people do who stay up too late watching and partying after sporting events) to recover from the episode. One person asked if that would count as paid bereavement leave. ha ha

I like the show, but geez. I don't know why this show doesn't make me cry like so many people. It was Jack's fault for not unplugging the crock pot. Who leaves any small appliances plugged in overnight, especially an old faulty one? I unplug the toaster the second I am done using it.

And why should they all feel guilty afterwards for not staying home to watch the Superbowl with their parents. It's not like it was Christmas. Their own team wasn't playing, was it? They are 17 years old. If there would not have been a fire, would they have felt the least bit bad the next day?

But, why is it always the one person you like on a show who ends up dead. I watched the first season of Parenthood, but I couldn't stomach any more of it because they were all so selfish and annoying, except for Zeke and Camille. Then I watched the last season because it was the last season and Camille took off for France (?) and left her husband at home. And Zeke is the one who died.

Nashville - Rayna. I still watch, but I don't really care anymore.

Grey's Anatomy - not because I loved Derek so much, I just don't care about the other people, except for Alex and Jo. I don't like Meredith without Derek (or Cristina). I couldn't tell you any other story lines of the past couple years right now.

I'm done rambling!

My wife and I both love to watch Judge Judy. She has so many episodes at this point, it's hard to imagine there is just one Judy instead of identical quintuplets or something like that!

Last week, there was an episode where a lady sued her neighbor for having a wild party. The lady who was suing said the party was on her birthday and it was so disrupting that she needed money to take back her birthday. Wacky! And the craziest thing is that the lady looked like she could have been Galustyan's aunt!

She should have just started a GoFundMe instead.

Anyone else watching the Waco miniseries on Paramount? It’s pretty intriguing so far.

Hard to believe that the Branch Dravidian standoff happened 25 years ago. I still have horrifying feelings about what happened - from so many angles. :(
